Palmers Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze Body Lotion Review

I’d love to be permantently tanned, but I’ve pretty much accepted that there must be a ginger in me somehow and that I will be forever pale. I’ve had my fair share of experiences with gradual tanners and fake tans, and recently on a trip to Sainsburies I spotted this Palmers Cocoa Butter Natural Bronze Body Lotion . I’d seen it mentioned here and there on the internet and thought maybe I should give gradual tanners another try after a satsuma Sophie incident after using the Johnsons one a year or two back.

First of all, this natural bronze body lotion smells incredible, it smells like all other Palmers Cocoa Butter products and I just can’t get enough! Secondly, it has a very handy pump, always a plus! Now, this creamy, moisturising lotion claims to build and maintain a natural looking tone and claims to be suitable for all skin tones. It claims to create a delicate, sun-kissed, summer glow all year long as well as claiming to vary from fair to medium to dark over a few days.

The lotion itself is very thick and creamy and feels like and luxurious and I found it sank in fairly quickly, after 10-15 minutes or so. The cocoa butter smell lasted a fairly long time, but I did wake up the next morning with a teeny tiny bit of biscuit scent, mixed with some cocoa scent which was okay. I found this gradual tanner worked VERY quickly and overnight developed into a very natural bronzed tan, and after applying every night, 3 nights in a row I was rather dark for me! I would probably only apply this every other night, or every 3rd night to maintain a nice, natural, bronzey glow.

This bronzing lotion only comes in one universal shade so I was a little wary as to how dark it could become as I am naturally quite fair but I had no problems. Overall this is the perfect foolproof gradual tanner for me and I will be sticking with this this summer to top up my tan!

I picked up this 250ml bottle for £5ish but is currently on offer for just £2.67 in Boots, basically half price!

Have any of you tried this, what did you think? Whats your favourite gradual tanner?
