A few weeks ago I was invited along to London by the lovely Moonpig team to their very Instagrammable Moonpig offices for a lovely festive event to celebrate and share everything that Moonpig can offer this festive season. Spoiler: they pretty much have everything you need on their site nowadays, from flowers, to cards and gifts too.
We were greeted with yummy pornstar martinis and a delicious spread including some insane veggie sausage rolls, which I am still thinking about… Following a little eating, drinking, mingling and catching up with a few faces I haven’t seen in a good few years, we settled down for a little presentation from the Moonpig team before getting involved with 3 awesome activities. Festive flower centre piece arranging, cocktail making and photo card making!
Festive Flower Centre Pieces
Did you know that Moonpig do flower deliveries? In those awesome flat cardboard boxes that can fit through your postbox? Neither did I! But they do, and the roses we used for our arranging in particular, were stunning. I’m definitely going to consider the moonpig flower delivery service next time I need some last minute gifts. We used the Letterbox Winter Roses (£22.00) and I would definitely purchase this again to make up my own table centrepieces as the box made more than enough for 3 large jars/vases and I couldve definitely spread them out across 4, making it quite a bargain for some stunning rose centre pieces for your table! After getting quite into the flower arranging, it was time for festive cocktail making…..
Moonpig also have a large gift section, including the spirits we used for the cocktails, and we made some gorgeous cocktails in teams, before going on to create our own masterpieces. Out of the 3 cocktails we were shown how to make, my favourite was probably the Christmapolitan, definitely due to that touch of Champagne!
- Gingerbread Mojito – Rum, Mint, Lime, Gingerbread Syrup, Soda
- Port of Call – Gin, Port, Cranberry Sauce, Cinnamon Syrup
- Christmapolitan – Amaretti, Lime, Cranberry Juice, Champagne
After letting a few of the drinks and bubbles go to our heads, it was our time to take some photos with santa, that would then feature on some, er, very special Christmas cards….
Photo Card Making
Moonpig are classically known for their ultra personable cards, and in particular their pesonalised cards. We were all given the chance to have a few snaps with the lovely Santa, before choosing our favourite photos, a festive backdrop, and then we could choose a style of card to upload the photos onto! By this point we had had arrival cocktails, prosecco, and made our own cocktails, so it’s safe to say most of our card photos with Santa involved him holding our legs up, amongst other bizarre things that we thought were a good idea at this point….. poor Santa!
I had a great time, and loved learning more about all that Moonpig offer – did you know that they offered everything that they do?! Other alternative festive present ideas can also include gorgeous advent calendars!
