Latest in Beauty – Beauty and The Beast

I’m kind of over your regular standard beauty boxes but I love a special box, whether that be collaborations with brands, themed etc. To celebrate the release of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, LIB curated this stunning limited edition Beauty Box, featuring a selection of makeup, skincare and haircare products inspired by the fairytale. As soon as I saw that Latest in Beauty were bringing out a stunning Beauty and the Beast box I couldn’t wait to see how they would do the design, and of course the products that would be included.

Ever since the release of these lipsticks i’ve been meaning to try them out. The rich moisturising colour and formula, combined with natural ingredients makes them a winner for me. I love that this lippy is both really pigmented, long lasting, natural and moisturising. I’m not really one for matte lipsticks and this super neutral finish is really lovely.

I love beauty box sized hand creams as they’re a great way to test out a scent and are the perfect size for handbags and travelling.
In my opinion you can never go wrong with a classic red nail polish, and this shade from Soigne is a gorgeous bright pillar box red, the perfect toe nail colour!
ORIBE -Gold Lust Dry Shampoo (43ml sample size = £5.42)
I’ve wanted to try the haircare brand Oribe since forever, especially the dry texturising spray, but could never ever justify the price on a hair product. I was so excited to see this Oribe dry shampoo in the box as a) again its travel friendly, spotting a theme eh, and b) it’s a great chance to try the product without forking out a mortgage for a spray that I might not even like. A full size 286ml can costs £36 (wow) and although it is nice and was super lovely to try out, I won’t be switching from my beloved Batiste anytime soon.

GATINEAU -Radiance Enhancing Gommage
( RRP £35 – Full size 75ml)
The lovely thing about beauty boxes is that they give you the chance to try out new products that you might not have tried before, or would typically reach for. Gatineau is a brand totally new to me, and this product in particular is the perfect exfoliator for sensitive skin as it uses a mild enzymatic formula to remove dead skin cells. Free from grains and beads, this gel formula is so gentle it can even be used over crows feet and around the eyes. Enriched with vitamin C, our Gommage helps to boost skin’s natural defence. Radiance and luminosity are immediately increased and the complexion is brightened and toned. I personally wouldn’t purchase this again, due to the price point, but it was lovely to try and I’ve really enjoyed having it in my shower.
I actually already own the full size of this, and whilst it’s not my faveourite moisturiser, it does the job and a travel size is always useful – especially now I love travelling hand luggage only!

These boxes are limited edition and come in options for both men and women, and cost £20. If you tot up all the prices of the samples and full size products, the box is actually worth £69.82 (+the cute travel mirror)and when you take into account the gorgeous design, it’s a no brainer really!
