A Wintery Girls Night In

Cosy winter nights in are the new going out when it comes to winter. The idea of standing in a  club queue in the freezing cold, or darting in between bars in the blistering wind, in potentially small amounts of clothing, does not appeal to me anymore. I would much rather, get in my jim-jams, take of alllll of my makeup, have a long bath, put my fave film on and enjoy a glass of wine with some delightful snacks. Add in the bonus of a glorious fire and a cutesie dog, literally why would I want to go out? A solo night in is also sometimes quite nice and relaxing, but the best ones involve your fave gal pals, reminiscing about awful school days, gossiping to your hearts content and going mad on treats and vino. Here are my girls night in essentials;

A good box set/film – Whether you’re a fan of the good old classic channels, Netflix, Now TV, or your famed DVD collection, crack out something light hearted and easy to watch (my latest faves are Cinderella and Pitch Perfect 2 on Now TV), kick back and relax!

Pampering treats go hand in hand with a girls night in for me. I love to indulge in some face masks, nail painting, hair masks and the like.

Delightful snacks. I love a selection, crisps, popcorn, chocolate, sweet, savoury etc. The new flavours of Butterkist Popcorn however are delish. The new flavours include Choco Mallow, Salted Caramel and Raspberry & Coconut, and oh my. The Choco Mallow and Salted Caramel are game changers and it’s hard to share these with your pals. Trust me.

What are your girls night in essentials?
