In My Opinion many high street brands these days are often very overlooked, and one brand that I don’t think receives the attention it deserves is Seventeen. Seventeen are a brand that have been around since forever and they have some absolute gems of products that need to be raved about a lot more. I find that due to their compact packaging, and products that house 2-in-1 type things, all with large generous mirrors, Seventeen products make GREAT summer clutch essentials. This summer my clutch bag of choice is the H Butler Black and Cream Envelope Clutch, and what makes these clutch bags such an essential is that they also double up as a phone charger. Yup you read that right. These nifty leather clutches features a micro-USB charger, complete with an Apple Lightning 5/6 adapter, and these slim chargers can charge your phone up to 3 TIMES. So you can b sure you can snap and instagram to your hearts content without worrying about carrying about a bulky charger or worse, your phone dying. omggg
All Out Pout in Woo Me £7.99
This clutch friendly lip palette in Woo Me includes a collection of 6 rich satin, gloss and glitter shades, along with an pplicator, large mirror and lovely get the look guide, which I think is a really fab touch, especially for those just starting out with makeup or bold lip looks. I love the shade selection in this palette as you can go all out with the brights, or more subtle with a nude, gloss or glitter and they all work perfectly for both day and night looks.
Define and Conquer Contour Kit £5.99
Contouring has been so 2016, and with the likes of baking, strobing etc, contouring kits have never been so in demand, however some can be just too strong. This kit from Seventeen is housed in a super slim compact and comes with a super soft and silky highlight and contour shade, both of which are quite light which makes them easy to get along with and can easily be built up.
Brows That, Brow Kit £5.99
This is the only product of the ones that I have tried that I just felt the packaging was unnecessarily bulky and thick for the products inside and could definitely be slimmed down to ake it more travel and handbag friendly. However, packaging aside, this kit comes with a powder, a wax and a semi shimmery highlight to be used underneath the brow bone. The kit also comes with a mini eyebrow pencil and mini angled brush, perfect for on the go application and a handy and detailed how to guide.
Long Lash Mascara £6.99
I love mascaras, and I know my mascaras and I know what I want from my mascara. Typically I look for volumising mascaras and not lengthening as I already have pretty long lashes naturally, however I do sometimes like to use a lengthening mascara before I apply my volumising one, to create an intense lash look (my fave thing to do!) and this one is great for that, and as a bottom lash mascara.
Skin Wow Concealer £4.99
The Seventeen Skin Wow Concealer is one of my fave products from the brand, as I find that it is super brightening and when used under the eyes to cover and reduce the appearance of dark circles, the concealer really brightens and refreshes my under eye areas, leaving my skin looking more healthy, radiant and luminous.I did also try and use this as a subtle highlight on my cheekbones and I found it worked especially well under my brow bone, to lift and sharpen my brows. Whilst I do really like this, I did think it would be of a more creamy liquid consistency, but instead the concealer is more of a cream-powder finish.
Lets Face It in Fair £5.99
This nifty face palette houses a pinky peachy toned concealer, a yellow toned concealer, a cream blush and a setting powder to finish your look, creating a flawless base. This slim compact is the perfect clutch/handbag essential as it can be used to correct any makeup mishap, as well as to touch anything up, whether it be powdering your nose, or covering up a blemish.
Overall I really love that the products come house in travel friendly packaging, complete with generous mirrors, applicators and a touch that I think is lovely, is that most kits or palettes come with a little how to booklet with ideas of looks and how to use the products.
