I am recently really enjoying blogger events/meet ups etc, as it is so lovely to hang out with like minded people, and recently I got the opportunity to have a lunch and chat with the amazing Amy Childs, and a few other local bloggers; the lovely Georgia, Sam and Emily in the Oracle, Reading, on Saturday afternoon.
Most people know Amy from being on TOWIE, appearing on Celebrity Big Brother, as well as having her own reality tv show, but recently her boutique is travelling to shopping centres across the UK, hosting pop up boutiques where you can buy her gorgeous clothes, new book, and her signature SprAmy self-tanning spray. It was really lovely and interesting to sit down with her in the BB’s in The Oracle in Reading and have a general chit chat about products she loves, inspiration behind the clothing range, and new releases. I tried to come prepared with a few questions and I was super glad I did, as it was really interesting to chat with Amy about all things beauty. I asked Amy what her current 3 fave beauty products are and Amy said she is really into her skincare and always has done since a child, she loves the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish, the Kylie Jenner Lip Gloss in Literally and the YSL False Lash Effect Mascara.
I think it’s important to remember that Amy had a beautician background before she started Towie etc, and so she really knows her stuff, and she definitely expressed that it’s all about the skincare for her, and always has been since she was a child. When we asked her what beauty tips she has, she said she always makes sure her base has an SPF, and swears by her Smashbox primer, as well as religiously sticking to a cleansing, toning and moisturising routine, which she likes to switch up regularly.
After our chat in BB’s and devouring some delicious sandwiches, cakes and smoothies, we headed up to the boutique, situated just outside of Victorias Secret, where got to look through the gorgeous dresses. It was incredible to see Amy, her mother and her team totally dedicated to the brand, and all mucking in, a well as stopping every now and again for photos!
