Cargo Cosmetics

As a beauty blogger, and all round beauty nerd i’m forever coming across new brands and discovering new brands that I want to try out, with one brand that I’ve wanted to try for SO LONG, being Cargo Cosmetics! US YouTubers and Bloggers have been long raving about Cargo Cosmetics, but as the brand is a little harder to get hold of in the UK, I haven’t managed to try anything from the brand. And I decided to try a bit of everything really!

The Essentials Eyeshadow Palette (£35)
caught my eye as soon as I clicked on the site, Influenced by the hues of urban architecture, the palette features 12 better-than-neutral shades to flatter the eyes, season after season. From the adorable packaging and the wearable matte and shimmery shades, this was the palette for me. Housed in a cute cardboard palette with a magnetic flip lid, double ended brush (which is actually GREAT) and a simple black eyeliner, this palette has everything. In particular the shades District, Metro and Hub stood out to me, probably as they are 3 out of the 4 shimmery shades in the palette. The quality of the shadows are super smooth and silky, and whilst they’re full of colour and pigmentation feel really lightweight and thin, providing an effortless and subtle neutral look.

Magic Brush £24

The CARGO Magic Brush has become my GO TO foundation brush, it buffs pressed powder and liquid foundations effortlessly into the skin for an airbrushed effect and is the ultimate all-in-one brush. Expertly crafted using specially engineered Synthetic Fibres which diffuses powder makeup onto the skin for a soft, flawless finis. Initially I actually didn’t read the box properly as it is meant for powders, however I have been using this for my liquid foundation and the finish is flawless. I love the small yet dense brush, and it delivers the perfect finish as the size means it covers the face well.

Cargo_HD Picture Perfect Mattifier £19

I love a mattifying primer, and the CargoPicture Perfect Mattifier is an oil-free mattifying liquid that gives you a hi-definition ready complexion, akin to the Benefit Porefessional. The primer is pore refining, line minimizing and mattifying for a perfectly flawless complexion, with a lightweight, silky smooth texture it can be used over makeup in place of your setting power, or underneath makeup as a skin perfecting primer. I’ve been really loving this as a primer underneath my L’Oreal Infallible Matte to ensure I have no shine all day long and I love the silky, silky smooth finish.

Beach Blush in Sunset Beach £20

This Blusher/bronzer/highlighter product is one I have seen on so many blogs and in so many tutorials, and is probably the one Cargo product I knew of before I placed my order! Sunset Beach is a soft pink and bronze colour medley, and the BeachBlush combines four complementary cheek colours for a healthy and radiant flush of colour. The blusher is formulated with light reflecting Mica to diffuse light and give a soft appearance. BeachBlush is also infused with Vitamin E which works as an antioxidant and skin conditioner to protect the skin from free radicals and provide essential moisture. Perfect for all skin types, BeachBlush soothes the skin whilst providing the complexion with a radiant glow and softening the appearance of fine lines. Simply swirl the colours together for the perfect balance of radiant blush and summertime glow, or pick out the specific shades you want to use!

Essential Lip Gloss in Stockholm £12

Rosy pink lip shades are always a winner with me, and this lip gloss in the shade Stockholm is just that, a pretty pinky rose. The Essential Lip Gloss has a super high gloss formula which delivers instant colour payoff and locks in moisture to keep the lips fully hydrated. Long wearing, Essential Lip Gloss has a slick, non-stick consistency which glides smoothly over the lips for a glossy, creamy finish. Maxi-Lip Technology increases lip moisture, helps to decrease the appearance of furrows around the mouth and increases lip volume for maximum fullness and a more youthful appearance. Essential Lip Gloss also utilises a blend of Vitamin E, Jojoba Seed Oil and Castor Seed Oil to nourish and hydrate the lips whilst Hydrogenated Polyisobutent offers wonderful emollient benefits to restore suppleness and softness to the lips. I am having a massive gloss stage right now, and although this shade leans towards a more baby pink tone, it is still so pretty, and the pigmentation is great, and it also feels fab on the lips!

Essential Lip Color in Palm Beach £13
The shade I originally wanted, Santa Fe, was out of stock, so I decided to try out Palm Beach which is a super bright pink coral. The Essential Lip Color is a smooth and creamy lipstick which hydrates the lips and packs a highly pigmented colour payoff. Beautifully lightweight, Essential Lip Color volumises and hydrates the lips and offers highly saturated, elegant lip colour for the perfect pout. Olive Oil, Jojoba and Shea Butter provide the lips with essential moisture, leaving the lips comfortably hydrated and high performance Peptides plump the lips to visibly enhance lip volume.

Matte Top Coat  $22

I was TOTALLY intrigued by this product as it promises to transform your favourite lippys to a rich, suede-like finish, when applied on top of lip colour, the perfect way to extend your lip colour wardrobe as it can transform any look, and any lipstick. Now this confused me, as I gathered you apply after you have applied your lipstick of choice, but in doing so you basically smear the original lip colour everywhere/end up wiping it all off. So for me, this product has baffled me, although I did managed to apply it over one of my fave high shine lippys and it did definitely create a more suede like finish, not totally matte though.
