A few weekends ago on Sunday the 8th May it was the highly anticipated BAFTAS, and as always there was a buzz around the event and with Justin Timberlake and Anna Kendrick gracing the red carpet, it really was the place to be. I was invited along with House of Fraser, the main sponsor of the BAFTAS, to walk the red carpet but unfortunately couldn’t make it, however instead I got glammed up with some help from Lancome and House of Fraser and hosted my very own at home BAFTA party, complete with some Champagne, HOFtails and the perfect party frock and clutch bag.
I wore this gorgeous Dorothy Perkins Daisy Lace Pencil Dress and paired it with this glitzy embellished clutch from Accessorize. I loved my outfit and with some makeup from Lancome to finish the look I felt so glam and ready for my party! I used the Lancome Miracle Cushion for my base, lashings of my favourite high end mascara, Lancome Hypnose, a wash of the Lancome Rouge In Love Lipstick in Rose Tea on my lips and a few drops of my all time fave scent, Lancomes La Vie est Belle and I felt ready to go!
Once I was ready it was time to make the exclusive HoFtail, created by the head bartender at the Mondrian Hotel for House of Fraser, as headline sponsors of the 2016 TV BAFTA Awards. It’s a delicious blend of gin, lemon, raspberry, sugar syrup and egg white. Whilst making mine I decided to leave out the egg white as I unfortunately have an allergy to egg, but the cocktail was till delicious, light, refreshing and so so tasty. The cocktail looked so fab in my amazing Margarita glasses too! If you want to make your own you will need 50ml of dry gin, 20ml sugar syrup, 20ml of lemon juice, 1 egg white and a few raspberries.
HoFtail Recipe
1. Add the gin and lemon juice to a cocktail shaker.
2. Combine water and sugar and bring to the boil to make the sugar syrup. Add the cooled syrup to the mixture.
3. Crack an egg and separate the yolk from the white. Add the white to the cocktail shaker.
4. Dry shake the mixture in the cocktail shaker, before adding ice cubes and shaking again.
5. Strain the mixture into a cocktail glass and enjoy.
Did you catch the BAFTAS at all, who were your faves?
