Things lately have been a bit all over the place really, i’ve been to a few press days, had another delish meal at Marco Pierre White in Windsor/ met the man himself, as well as started getting way too excited for my family holiday in July and my American adventure in August and prepping myself for all the sun and adventures.
Marco Day, 12th May
I recently went to try out the latest Marco Pierre White Restaurant in Windsor, and must’ve behaved myself as I was invited back again, this time for a delicious and exclusive dining event and the chance to meet the man himself and to get a copy of his White Heat book signed! I am a creature of habit, and again opted for the deliciously decadent prawn cocktail to start, with the ribeye steak for my main, and the Cambridge burnt cream for dessert! Upon arrival I was greeted with a lovely glass of a marmalade cocktail which consisted of champagne, vodka, and something else, whatever it was though – I thoroughly enjoyed it but had to stick to the one as driver duties called! As always I had a delicious meal, and the company was also amazing, i’m sure i’ll be back very soon!
#HOFAW16 – Home and Womens Fashion Press Day
Normally attending press days can be quite hard as they typically run throughout the day from 9-6pm, and if you work there is no way you can everrr get to these things. However my luck was in this month as the House of Fraser Autumn/Winter 2016 homeware and womenswear press day was in the gorgeous Marylebone One, a stunning venue RIGHT NEXT TO MY OFFICE. So on our lunch, myself and Erica popped across the street and had a look around at the up and coming trends and styles, got treated to a lovely Nail Inc mani, some gorgeous juices and some insanely fancy mini fish and chips! There were some gorgeous things on show, however I felt way too summery and wasn’t particularly feeling the dark coloured AW clothes vibe, but there were some pretty pieces. The homeware though, OH MY. I am currently obsessed with homeware and there were so many cute things from shabby chic, to deluxe and homey type things, there was a bit of everything to suit everyones taste.
The English Soap Company
I enjoy supporting local businesses, and the English Soap Company sell and make pure vegetable soaps & candles made in the heart of the English countryside and are the perfext luxury treat for yourself, or a gift for someone you love. The White Jasmine & Sandalwood Luxury Shea Butter Soap (£5.99) , Summer Rose Luxury Guest Soap (£2.95), and Lily Of The Valley Pure Soy Candle (£9.95). I absolutely love the packaging of the products and the price point, quality and delicate scents are just lovely.
Getting Creative
Since my 6 month contract at Talented Talkers came to an end (boo) i’ve decided to go travelling in August, but until then I am pretending to be a ‘full time blogger’ and also becoming more creative again. And by being creative, I mean getting a little more artsy and crafty yet still being budget friendly and my go to for Craft Supplies has been The Works as they have everything you could need without breaking the bank! I’m actually pretty tempted to design my own business cards using a few bits from there, so keep your eyes peeled for that (maybe). I’ve also been re-doing my makeup storage/desk area and the storage solutions from The Works have been perfect for rearranging my endless makeup collection.
