New In From Elemis, The BIOTEC Range

As soon as these new goodies from Elemis arrived in the post, I knew it was going to be love. First things first, THE PACKAGING. Totally classic, chic, very Chanel-esque and so sleek, smooth, fancy, pretty, NEED I GO ON. I do have to add, the new BIOTEC range is pricey, in fact I can’t believe I put an 89 quid product on my face, but yano, living the dream and fighting any signs of ageing. Plus, I always think of good skincare as a proper investment, and I find it takes me a really, really long time to get through skincare, like I actually have a bottle of Olay Beauty Fluid knocking about from the start of last summer. Fickleness aside, after trying this range, I would definitely in the future be willing to part ways with my pretty pennies to purchase these products, maybe not all in one go (because if I bought all 3 it would be equivalent to basically 1/2 a months rent), but I fell in love with the night cream, and not just because it looks gorgeous on any dresser.

Elemis BIOTEC Skin Energising Night Cream (£89 for 30ml)

Intensely hydrate skin whilst you sleep with the BIOTEC Skin Energising Night Cream fromElemis. Specially formulated with an energising trio of acids, including Succinic, Lactic and Ferulic to deeply nourish skin, revealing a smoother, replenished complexion. Powered by the brand’s Bio-Energy™ Complex of encapsulated Zinc and Copper, the lightweight moisturiser increases cell energy, whilst Calcium PCA and Sunflower help to minimise the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. You can expect a youthful, visibly smoother complexion come morning. Simply massage 2 pumps into the skin every evening to activate. I really loved how this felt thick like a night cream, but not super heavy thick, and my skin absolutely drank this up, and left my skin feeling super hydrated the next morning, without feeling too oily or greasy.

Elemis BIOTEC Skin Energising Day Cream (£75 for 30ml)

The day cream intensely moisturises skin as it is specially formulated with an energising trio of acids, including Succinic, Lactic and Ferulic to hydrate and nourish skin, revealing a smoother, replenished complexion. With the brand’s Bio-Energy™ Complex of encapsulated Zinc and Copper, the lightweight moisturiser increases cell energy, whilst working to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Experience a youthful, healthy-looking complexion that is visibly smoother everyday, providing the perfect base for your makeup. I recently read somewhere that your base (moisturiser/primer) should leave your skin feeling slightly tacky to the touch, to ensure optimal foundation application, and this foundation does just that, and my foundation sits SO so well on top of this day cream.

Elemis BIOTEC Cleanser (£39.50 for 200ml)

This gorgeous cleanser gently removes the build-up of dirt and impurities and is specially formulated with an energising trio of acids, including Succinic, Lactic and Ferulic, to reduce excess oil and rebalance skin, revealing a refreshed, revitalised complexion. The wash-off cleanser activates the brand’s BIOTEC system, which prepares skin for optimum performance, leaving it restored and healthy-looking. I enjoyed using this cleaner as it smelt super clean and kinda adult smelling (it is a thing), and it left my skin feeling perfect cleansed after a day in the grime of London, and my skin felt perfectly prepped for the night cream, without feeling too stripped or cleansed like some more harsh cleansers do. Although I would have to say for the price, I didn’t love it, and i’m not sure I would repurchase it as I love other, more affordable cleansers, a lot more.

So there you go, my thoughts on the pretty stunning Elemis Biotec Range, what do you think, would you splurge on any of these items?
