Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil, Review

Elizabeth Arden is one of those beauty brands that is a classic household name. You can find some of their products in my mums makeup stash, my grandma’s and even my sisters, which is why I always get excited when I see a new launch from the brand. The Eight Hour Cream is an iconic cult classic, and the latest addition, the Eight Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil has got people going mad for it, and for ALL the right reasons. Oil’s have been having their moment right now, and this oil carries on the multi-purpose legacy of the cream and can be used all over the body, face and hair; being a staple oil that addresses all your beauty needs. The oil is also clinically proven to moisturise for 8-12 hours and is designed for all skin types.

Elizabeth Arden scoured the globe
to source and extract exquisite and beautifying botanical oils to develop this
moisturizing and conditioning oil for the face, body and hair. Tsubaki Oil is derived from the
Camellia flower, native to Jeju Island off the coast of Korea, a rising beauty
mecca thanks to its unpolluted ecosystem and purest skincare ingredients. A
popular all-over beauty treatment in Japan and Korea, Tsubaki Oil is known for
its anti-oxidative, antiwrinkle, anti-inflammatory, smoothing and soothing
effects and is even credited as the Geisha’s legendary hair and beauty
secret.  It contains a high concentration of Omegas 6 and 9 to help nourish, soothe and protect the
skin, all whilst boosting skin’s natural collagen to smooth skin and improve its overall
texture. As well as these incredible properties, the oil also incorporates further natural key ingredients that enhance the formula, including: Grape Seed Oil – Abundant with Omega-6 fatty acids, this oil intensely moisturises and conditions the skin. Ginger Root Extract – Helps to improve the skin’s texture and tone. Boswellia Resin – Helps to improve the skin’s firmness; helps to soothe and calm red or irritated skin. Vitamin E – Helps to condition the skin and protect against free radical damage, and Olive, Avocado & Sunflower Seed Oils and Rosemary Extract; which impart skin with moisturising, skin conditioning benefits and antioxidant protection.

I love how subtle the oil is, as it has a delicate citrus floral scent that promotes a sense of well-being and is recommended to be used in these ways to reap the most benefits:

– For the face: Mist a thin layer directly onto clean, dry skin and lightly massage in an upward circular motion for a healthy and radiant looking complexion. It is gentle enough for all skin types, noncomedogenic and will not clog pores.

– For the body: For use on dry or damp skin. Like liquid silk, this fine oil penetrates deeply and is clinically proven to deeply hydrate and lock in skin’s moisture for 8-12 hours.

– For the hair: A light mist can be smoothed into damp or dry hair, to impart hair with a glossy shine and smooth flyaway’s without leaving behind a greasy residue. Condition hair everyday with a fine mist or apply more to treat damaged ends.

I have been using this all over my body, on dry patches on both my legs, face and hands and it has really worked to revive those dry areas. Although as it is such a lovely oil, and expensive too, I have been using only a tiny amount on my legs as I don’t want to use it all up quickly, although a little does go a long way, and the use of a spray function helps with this. I also love how well it absorbs into the skin, and doesn’t leave a greasy trace on the skin like other oils can.

You can purchase an 100ml bottle of the Eight Hour Cream All-Over Miracle Oil for £29. Have any of you tried the oil, what did you think?
