Boots Haircare Box

Back in December, you know that month filled with bubbles, mince pies, epic food babies and then some post Christmas depression, well in December, Boots released a haircare box to help get ready for the festive season which was brimming to the top with absolute haircare essentials. The box included some fab products which are some of my staples!

The Batiste XXL Volume Spray is one of my go to products at the moment (as explained in my recent Hair Boosters post), I love how dry shampoos have started to add the texturising volume side to them as who doesn’t love a multi tasking product? The Batiste spray is infused with Keratin which helps to strengthen and Inca Inchi Oil that nourishes, ensuring that whilst you’re adding texture and volume, your hair will stay healthy too. Another gem of a product that helps to keep hair healthy and sleek is the L’Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil, made up of a precious blend of 6 flower extracts this non greasy formula leaves hair soft and shiny. And trust me it does that, with none of that, ‘have you just washed your hair in oil’ kinda look. Another favourite that I found in the box was the L’Oreal Elnett Prescious Oil Hairspray – a classic with an updated twist…. I’ve been using Elnett hairspray since forever, it’s something that has always been a staple on my mums dressing table and a frequent present in my stocking from Santa (Santa knows!). However there are new additions to the range and this Precious Oil version is here to protect your style, all whilst keeping the legendary long=lasting hold of Elnett, it is now infused with weightless, extra caring Argan Oil, well known for it’s softening, smoothing and shine properties. I found that after brushing the spray out, my hair was EXTRA soft and I would totally put this down to the formula.

Whilst there were some trusty faves in the box, it also contained some new products to try which was great and I fell in love with some new must haves! The Tresemme Runway Collection Makes Waves Creation Hairspray (bit of a lengthy one..) is a spray I hadn’t heard/or read about before, but is a unique spray that will make creating and keeping waves a wholeee load easier. This spray works on both natural curls, and curls created with a wand/straighteners/roller etc, and the lightweight, workable formula helps style waves with definition and bounce and stops the drop! Another new product for me to try was the Umberto Gianni Create A Curl Scrunching Jelly, a product that to me, sounded a little scary. However it was super simple to use, however I would say this is more aimed at those who already have curls, rather than on those that are just creating curls. I did find it added a bounce to my hair and deffo reduced frizziness the next day! The last product of the box, which was another newbie product to me, was the Toni & Guy Creative Style Spray Wax, I have tried the KMS Spray Wax product in the past and LOVED it so I was really excited to try this version. The spray is so easy to use, simply spray through damp hair, scrunch through and leave hair to air dry, or spritz a bit through dry hair for wave enhancement and extra shape and texture.

I loved this Boots Haircare box and I am super excited to see what they come up with next! Have you tried any of these products, what are your fave hair products at the moment?
