Oakford Social Club, Reading

Now that i’m home in Berkshire from now until, well who knows, I thought I would start focusing on areas in Berkshire that I love, and review them. Today’s review wasn’t planned when I went so apologies for the lack of good quality photos/and photos. To kick things off I thought I would start with a quick review for one of my favourite places to grab a burger in Reading; the Oakford Social Club. Situated just opposite Reading Station at 53 Blagrave Street, the Oakford is a really fun pub, with a really cool inside area, complete with a stage for live gigs and shows, an extensive bar and a decent outside area, the Oakford has a bit of everything. They put on quite a few live events and gigs and their Quiz night on a Monday is always popular However the main event for me, is the 241 burgers on Tuesdays. With burgers typically ranging from £8-10, under the 241 offer they cost just £4-5 which is quite the deal for what you get. Favourites of mine include the Ruby Jean, smoked bacon, emmental, mushrooms and onion rings, and the Chorizo and Grilled Halloumi. After my recent visit, I caught the addition of the Mac & Cheese burger with pineapple Habanero ketchup, agh what a dream. All burgers come with delicious fries and glazed buns with tomato, lettuce and mayo, mm mm! If you want to take a peek a their delicious menu, then it’s here to look at, but don’t do it if you’re hungry!

Are you a burger lover like me, what is your fave burger combo?
