A few weeks ago, I jetted of to Split, Croatia with 19 other uni friends, where we then got a a catamaran to the gorgeous Croatian island of Hvar where I had the most perfect 7 days ever! Whilst it was a stunning get away filled with lots of adventures, food and drink, it was also a great opportunity for the list-lover and beauty addict in me to plan and pack some useful and gorgeous beach products and to hit up the beach, so here are a few of my beach essentials.
First up skincare and sun protection, I am blessed with a pale complexion prone to freckles, great in the winter, horrific in the summer. I burn within 5 minutes of being in the sun and it’s not fun or good for you, so I always make sure to invest in a decent sun cream, one that provides the right protection and is also good for my skin and won’t cause me to break out. The Kiehls Skin Survival kit*(mentioned here), whilst being a festival essential kit, is also the perfect holiday kit as the Ultra Light Daily UV Defence with SPF 50 is perfect. Another amazing multi purpose product is the Dr Paw Paw Original balm*, as it is a perfect multipurpose soothing balm with natural fermented pawpaw that can be used on lips, skin, hair,cuticles and nails! Following on from my pale complexion, on the other end of the spectrum, when I DO have a tan (very rare) I love to emphasise my golden sunkissed glow with subtle shimmery products to enhance any colour I may have. The Body Shop’s Honey Bronze*range is THE range for just that and the Highlighting Domes are perfect. A trusty fave is also the Bourjois Gold Bronzing Powder*, perfect for dusting over your shoulders and collar bones and up the fronts of your legs for an extra touch of sunkissed glam.
Next up, literal beach essentials. This retro looking multicoloured shell towel* is the epitome of a beach essential, especially when you’re in for an experience with rocky beaches. I love the bright design and it is perfectly huge and fluffy, perfect, no chance of losing this bad boy on the beach!
