Summer means a lot of things, but it also means less clothing and bare legs..During the winter months I tend to not pay much attention to my legs unless I am going out, and prefer to leave them au naturale to provide a little er extra warmth in the winter months? However in the summer I like to keep them fuzz free although it is such a faff shaving so I decided to try out the Veet EasyWax Electrical Roll-On Kit to see if it could keep me fuzz free for longer. In the past I have tried the Veet in shower removal cream with varied success, so I thought it was time to try something a little different. If you’re unsure of what hair removal method is best for you, check out this Veet guide.
The Veet EasyWax Electrical Roll-On Kit* claims to be an easy to use home removal kit that provides long lasting results. I was intrigued to see how it worked after having some previous wax strip related disasters in the past. The Veet EasyWax is made with the same ingredients as salon wax, and removes short hair right from the root, claiming to give smooth skin for up to 4 weeks. To start I followed the instructions, first inserting the wax roll-on refill snugly into the heating device, then plugging in the device. This was easy enough to set up, however maybe a plug that works in bathroom sockets would be helpful too. The instructions state that the ideal temperature will be reached after a minimum of 20 minutes and a max of 30 minutes. I followed this, and let the wax heat for around 25 minutes. To get started then roll the wax in the direction your hair grows, so on legs; knee to ankle. Then apply one strip to your skin, rub several times in the direction of hair growth, hold skin taut and pull the strip back on itself as quickly as you can, against the direction of hair growth (ankle to knee direction). You can then use this strip multiple times if necessary. After waxing, clean away any wax residue with a Veet Perfect Finish Wipe which comes with the set, and there you go, at home salon style smooth legs!
Now how did I actually get on. It actually all went to plan which is amazing! I seriously reccomend this home waxing kit! It took a little getting used to the pain ish, but after 3 or so strips it all felt fine for me, and i’m kind of looking forward to doing it again in the future (weird I know..) it was just so satisfying.I also like that you can buy different wax refills and rollers depending on whether you’re using it for legs or harder to reach nooks and crannies like your underarms and bikini line
Have you tried any at home waxing kits like this before? What is your favourite method of hair removal for the legs?
