Prepping for Pretty Muddy

In just 4 days, on Saturday 4th of July this year, myself and 3 other Brighton Blogger babes; Lilla, Laura and Rosie will be tackling the 5k Pretty Muddy Race For Life, for Cancer Research! 5K is nothing to most people, but I am pretty unfit so to kickstart training I signed up to my local Gym and invested in some new workout gear! I’ve also been enjoying the Charlotte Crosby 3 Minute Belly Blitz DVD (check out Cash Generator who sell pre owned DVDs for a bargain exercise DVD) for days when I can’t be bothered to leave the house, and to mix things up a bit!

To get myself into gym mode, I shopped around for some pretty new gym clothes, and I don’t know about you, but I feel a lot more inclined to work out and exercise if I have pretty workout clothes! After a lot of browsing and shopping about ,the George at Asda sportswear range was one range in particular that blew me away! Most items are under a tenner, and they have some really practical, comfy, stylish and fun items! My favourite picks include this fab black tie dye style work out vest for £8, this fun patterned sports bra and these pink 3/4 leggings have been my go to bottoms of choice as they are SO comfy!

M&S are my go to for good, reliable bras, and their sports bras are amazing too! My current one has lasted me for a few years, so I thought it was time to update it and get a new one, and this High Impact Sheer and Opaque sports bra stood out in particular to me. Whilst it may not be the cheapest bra, I do like to invest in good bra support and this has made working out so much easier!

The lovely Superdrug sent us a wellbeing kit to help us out during training and to soothe our feet afterwards. They sent a lovely box full of goodies, including a Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi and Intense Serum Pack, some Silver Line supplements, a Superfood Detox Smoothie, some Bare Foot goodies including a Lavender & Mint Foot Cream and a Peppermint & Plum Foot Scrub, some all natural energy Bare Bar’s by Leader and lastly, my personal favourite, some Fruit Jelly Bears and Fruit Jelly Hearts Beauty Sweeties, yum!

Cancer Research also sent us some fab bits to get us Battle Ready, including some amazing Battle Ready Nail Foils, Mii Dreamy Duo Cheek Colour, Jessica Nail Polish in Colour Me Calla Lily and an amazing Harry Rocks dog tag style Race For Life Pink Army necklace!

And if you want to sponsor us, it would be greatly appreciated. As a group we have all been effected by cancer and we want to raise £1,000 between us to help kick cancers butt, so please help us out and donate!!

Have you ever taken part in a race for charity? What are your workout/training tips?
