Match Nails – Brighton

I love to support local businesses in Brighton, especially new ones, so when Match Nails sent me a tweet inviting me down for a complimentary OPI manicure, I couldn’t resist! With my exams finished on the Wednesday and my housemates big 21st on the Friday, my housemates and I booked ourselves in for a 12pm slot on the Thursday! I spoke to Verity on the phone prior to the appointment(s) and she was super bubbly and helpful.

Situated on Duke Street above Match Bags (which sells their own brand of luxury handbags and gorgeous shoes), the salon is on the third floor of the building. The salon is well laid out and was very clean and neat with two pedicure stations and a manicure station. I loved the decor as it felt very classy and luxurious. I was booked in for a manicure but oh wow the pedicure stations lwere divine with a recycling massage chair, which we got to experience whilst waiting for our nails to get done as there were 3 of us and only 1 beautician, which was totally fine. The salon exclusively uses OPI nail products, and who doesn’t love OPI. There was a choice of either a gel or classic manicure and I opted for the Basic OPI Gel Manicure which included a nail shape, cuticle care, moisturising hand massage and polish of your choice. I opted for Pest in Budapest a gorgeous bright pastel lilac shade and I was super impressed with how my nails turned out. My nails are pretty stubby and I bite the skin around my nails, lovely I know, however Verity managed to transform them into normal looking nails. I love how glossy and smooth gel finishes are, and gel manicures are my new fave thing! There was a great selection of classic OPI shades and a good selection of gel shades, and Verity said they’re ordering in lots more gel shades which is good to hear! I’m not 100% sure on the names of the shades my housemates got, but they opted for a classic red and a nice coral orange, as photographed above.

Overall my housemates and I had a lovely time and we left feeling pampered and we will definitely be returning again!
