#HillarysCraftEvent at Taj’s Tea Parlour with Make, Do and Trend

On Saturday I was invited down to Taj’s Tea Parlour in Brighton to get crafty with Hillarys and Joe’s Bloggers, and the amazing Kirsty of Make, Do and & Trend ! The Tea Parlour was really adorable, and totally my kind of place – I’ll deffo be heading back there for some tea and cake! We all arrived and sat down around an assortment of tables and we got started with some no sew bunting, featuring some fabrics from Hillarys latest blinds collection. I am not a natural crafter so it was fun to get some help and to make some items that even I could make, sort of. The bunting was simple, we simply used diamond shaped strips of fabric, folded in half over some rope and glued down with some good old PVA glue. We then popped them outside on a clothing dryer, which was pretty entertaining, before enjoying some tea and biscuits! We then moved onto the baubles…The baubles were definitely a challenge, but after an hour of hard work using 24 squares of material, a ribbon, a polystyrene  ball and countless pins, a bauble was made!

The event was really lovely and as well as finally meeting some of the team behind Joes Bloggers, I also met some lovely new ladies! It was also lovely to catch up with some girlies that I already knew! I also won a bottle of prosecco for my ‘being a bunting cat’ selfie, being silly can definitely pay off!

Thanks so much to Hillarys,Taj’s Tea Parlour, Make, Do & Trend and Joes Bloggers for a really lovely afternoon!
