A Taste of Christmas with Coast to Coast

Coast to Coast is an American restaurant and bar, and somehow I’ve never been, but when they invited me along to their Brighton Marina restaurant to preview their Christmas menu and cocktails, it sounded like a dream. I’m a massive burger gal at heart (and cocktail lover) and I couldn’t wait to see what they had come up with for their Christmas menu!

To start, the amazing bar tender, Joyce Brabban, made all of the Christmas special cocktails including a delicious Orange Martini (think a jaffa cake alcoholic drink..), a classic Bellini with a touch of grand marnier, an eggnog inspired drink and a seriously delicious warm cider. After we had tasted the delicious cocktails, we moved over to some tables to get food tasting!

First up were some Goats Cheese Bruschetta Bites. I hate being fussy and bringing up my allergies, however after realising the bruschetta had nuts on, the staff were really attentive and helpful and the chef noted it down and brought me out a nut free version, lovely! Now, I am not a goats cheese fan, but the cheese was so light and creamy, I wolfed it down. After the starter we had a gorgeous mushroom risotto, an enormous Turkey christmas dinner, and my favourite, some Maple bacon burgers and chips. Maple and bacon is such a genius invention and the burgers were SO tasty!

After all the savoury dishes, we had the incredible Oreo Cheesecake, with oreo ice-cream- heaven! I had never been so full in my life. The cheesecake was baked and was utter perfection! And to finish everything off we had the spectacular Snowman cocktail. The most adorable, delicious concoction, complete with carrot nose, mini oreo eyes and matchmaker/twig arms. It tasted just like baileys and would make a great substitute for a desert, although I am a piggy and obvs had to have both…

Thanks to the lovely team at Coast to Coast for inviting me to taste their Christmas 2014 menu and Chef Andy Hamilton and the amazing Joyce Brabban for gorgeous drinks and food!
