I have very standard, slightly wavy, fine hair. And it always gets to a certain length and NEVER grows any further. I wish I could be that girl with over boob length, thick swishy hair, but that day has not yet come, no matter how well I treat my hair. I’ve tried no heat, all the shampoos, conditioners, treatments and tricks in the book as well as regular haircuts, but to no avail has my hair grown past a certain length.
Whilst perusing the hair stands in Boots I came across the Lee Stafford for hair that never grows past a certain length hair growth treatment. I’ve seen a few great reviews on this product, and though it was time to try it out for myself. The treatment itself was £8.49 and Boots had a deal on Lee Stafford products, offering 3 products (excluding the Argan range) for just £12. Seeing as the treatment itself was nearly £9, it seemed like a no brainer to buy some other products to bulk it up the total to £12. So to complete the treatment I went for the Pro Growth Shampoo and Conditioners. Each with an RRP of £7.49, meaning that with the offer I saved a whopping £11.47
First up, I love the hot pink, fun packaging, and I love how the packaging has loads of info about the product. They also all have that delicious Lee Stafford, hair salon-esque scent, so fresh and professional. I love it!
The Hair Growth Treatment with Pro-Growth complex, contains a protein-based complex to fertilise (eek) your follicles to help hair grow faster and reach its maximum potential length. It claims that the vital hair and scalp complex helps to reduce hair loss, it improves follicle health, which in turn increases the ability of the hair to anchor to the scalp, it has a soothing formulation that reduces irritation and moisturises the scalp and increases the volume and feel to the hair.
The shampoo and conditioner contain a protein based complex to fertilise your follicles, crating a healthy environment on the scalp to help hair grow faster and reach its maximum potential length. I like how the descriptions do not try to deceive or lie to you, or give irrational promises of long swishy hair, they simply say they help to try to achieve the maximum potential growth that is possible with your hair, which is all I am asking for!
How did I get on with the trio of products? Well. I loved using the products, although I found I got through them really quickly, as the conditioner recommended using an egg sized amount, and the shampoo/conditioner bottles were quite small. I did however love using the products and whilst i’m not sure they made my hair grow really fast, they kept my hair in a healthy good condition and it did grow a little because of this. The products are no miracle, however really help to maintain healthy hair.
Have any of you tried this range, what did you think? What is your tip to get hair to grow past a certain length?
