A Keratin Boost with Richard Ward

I’m a sucker for hair products as I really don’t like my hair, and the promises slathered across the fronts of hair products often pull me in. The latest hair products to get me excited have been a few gorgeous Keratin infused products from the Richard Ward Chelsea Collection. Now I don’t know about you but those Chelsea girls have seriously gorgeous hair, and if something can help me achieve the hair they sport, but in the comfort of my own home then I’m sold! Richard Ward is also well known for being Kate Middleton’s hairdresser, and my obsession with her definitely got me excited about the collection!

Richard Ward’s new and exclusive range; The Chelsea Collection helps you achieve that luxurious, salon perfect finish at home and is readily available at Waitrose. The collection is very affordable with most products being under the £5.99 mark, and deals on the products the majority of the time. The secret to Richard’s special collection is his hero ingredient Keratin, which is hair’s natural protein and the key to healthy, glossy hair. Using the latest in Keratin-infusion technology, the new range of cleansing, conditioning and styling products help replenish lost Keratin and rebuild the hair’s natural fibres for lustrous looking locks.I really like the packaging of the collection, as the different ranges within the collection; volume, sleek, restore, rehab, sleek, smoothing and luminising, all have a different illustration of a gorgeous hair styled lady on the product, which is a cute touch and makes identifying products easy. They also all have that gorgeous salon fresh, light and fruity scent, which I love!

The Richard Ward keratin restore conditioner and the restore range are designed to protect and rebuild natural fibers as well as restoring natural shine through the use of chicory extract for strength and vitality, and yucca vera for suppleness and shine. The conditioner is a very lovely, albeit fairly standard conditioner, that left my hair in a manageable, sleek, soft and healthy condition.

The Richard Ward Keratin Sleek Conditioner is a super smoothing conditioner with strigosa seed to revitalise silkinees and sheen, and Lychee to rejuvenate lustre and vivacity. The conditioner helps to create a gorgeous frizz free and enriched finish that is great on an every day basis as the conditioner doesn’t weigh down hair, but tames frizz and fly away hair!

I’ve been really enjoying using the Richard Ward Keratin Smoothing Mist as it is a super fine and light mist that contains argan oil and vitamins that create a shine enhancing glaze with a flawless sheen. This product is great for finishing off looks, and is really gorgeous when used on damp hair as it really makes styles look toghether and in place. It is also handy in between washes on dry hair to calm and tame flyaway hair!

The Richard Ward Keratin Rehab ultra moisturising intense rejuvenating treatment is an ultra rich conditioning treatment with vitamin and silk protein for intense rehydration and protection. It is recommended to use this product every 2 weeks and to leave this treatment on for 5 minutes, or alternatively for an extra intense treatment leave on for up to 30 minutes and rinse thoroughly. I’ve only used this product twice so far as my hair hasn’t felt like it has needed this treatment, although it is definitely a handy product to have in your hair cabinet for those pamper days once a fortnight or every few weeks when your hair needs a little lift and hydration! I found it didn’t weigh down hair, or leave it overly hydrated (aka greasy residue) and was a really luxurious treatment, as the product is so creamy and thick.
