I love discovering new beauty brands and when NV Colour contacted me I was intrigued. At the moment NV Colour are based online and have a really lovely and affordable makeup range with a product for everyone. They are also really social on a range of social media platforms including Instagram and Twitter and have a really great blog with tutorials, demonstrating the products and how to use them. This summer I am all about simple makeup, bronzed skin, and occasionally a bit of winged liner, and NV Colour have some gorgeous products for creating just that! (quick apology for the rubbish quality of photos- it was so sunny taking these I could barely see what I was taking photos of!)
I love brands that create bronzers for different skin tones, as I think this can often be where oompa loompa looks can originate from! The NV Bronzer in Fair comes in a sleek matte black, round compact (not disimilar from MAC packaging) and features the product on the top layer and a handy on the go mirror and brush stored beneath. The bronzer itself is really gorgeous, well pigmented and the trio of bronzing colours looks gorgeous swirled together, or the darkest shade used alone makes a really great contour shade because of the ashy tones.
I’m all about multi tasking products and the NV Chunky Crayon Duo in Ingot/Nude is a gorgeous pencil with a pretty peachy/nudey shimmery highlight type shade on one end, with a bronzey gold with subtle gold flecks running through it on the other end. A perfect pairing. The peachy shade is a great inner corner and brow bone highlight, as well as a great, simple wash of colour over the lids. The bronzey gold, glitter end goes beautifully with the lighter shade and works well alone, and also as a liner and along the bottom lashes instead of a harsh black liner. The formulation is really lovely and creamy and wears for a good amount of time with a primer.
I’m a massive felt tip liquid liner fan and the NV Felt Tip Eyeliner Pen is right up my alley. The formula is really long lasting, the pen light and easy to use, and the nib perfect for creating any winged/cat/simple eyeliner creation.
Have any of you heard about or tried anything from NV Colour? What’s your favourite brand right now?
