I’ve never tried anything from B.Makeup, found exclusively in Superdrug, but I really love their branding, products and packaging, with all the products having great skin benefits and being fresh and wearable, the brand is perfect for summer. As well as being a Vegan and cruelty free brand, B. also try to make makeup and skincare as easy and simple as possible, which is perfect for the summer months.
Now that it’s summer I’m forever on the hunt for the perfect lightweight base with a high SPF that is also moisturising and the B.Confident CC cream is a beautiful summer base. With an SPF of 45, colour corrective pigments to neutralise redness, intense 10hour moisturistation with Hyaluronic Acid, a buildable coverage, this is the base to chuck in your holiday makeup bag for days by the beach, pool and even in the evenings. The consistency is fairly liquid and fluid, and sits really lightly on the skin, but covering up any redness and lasts throughout the day.
In the summer I love to try and look as fresh faced and natural as possible during the day, and vamping up daytime looks in the evening. Two of the B.Rich Intense Colour Lipsticks in Dolls House and Eton Mess are two really gorgeous daytime lipsticks that are really moisturising, with a creamy formulation that conditions lips, whilst also containing an SPF of 15 and being a satin finish, a touch matte with a slight sheen. The colours are really pretty, with Dolls House being a really pretty light and fresh pink nude, slightly similar to MAC’s Creme Cup but more hydrating, and Eton Mess being a fresh and light slightly coral toned pink with a little brightness to it. Both really wearable shades, and shades that I really love. I’m not a lipstick person but these wear so well and are super comfortable to wear, and are quite subtle. The packaging of the lipsticks are also super fun as the bullet end clicks into place, meaning that in your makeup bag, lids won’t fall off.
I really like to vamp up the eyes during the evening if i’m keeping the face and lips fairly natural, and I love simple eye products. The B.Precise Gel Eyeliner and B.Stunning Vibrant Eye Shimmer in 190 Graphite are both products that are great to pop on in the evening to completely lift a look. Cream shadows are really great for holidays and the summer as they create such an effortless look that can look as though you put a lot of effort into your eye makeup. The shade Graphite is really gorgeous as it is a really deep blue toned dark grey with a really subtle but pretty shimmer running throughout. The most perfect smokey eye product, and is great both alone, or as a base for an intense look. The Gel Eyeliner is also really great as it comes with a handy little brush. The formulation of the gel eyeliner is really lovely and creamy, and the colour is a perfect black. Whilst it is creamy as you apply it, meaning maximum flexibility when lining your eyes, it dries really well so it won’t budge.
And at the end of the day when you want to remove your makeup and freshen up your skin, the B. Pure Micellar Water is a quick and easy 3-in-1 cleanser that dissolves impurities in one single sweep and is suitable for even really sensitive skin.
