It’s not a secret that I am a mad mascara junkie and whenever a brand releases a new mascara i’m there before you can say mascara! The latest offering from Bourjous is the Volume 1 Seconde Mascara*, which I have seen many a rave review about and couldn’t wait to get my mitts on and to get it onto my lashes asap! I’ve actually only tried the Bourjois volume clubbing mascara in the past and loved that, so I was eager to try a new one!
The Volume 1 Seconde Mascara claims to give maxi volume from every angle, with a 16 hour hold, and still being easy to remove. The 260 degree brush with wraparound spherical bristles is perfect for volume from every angle. The smart brush takes it’s inspiration from profession round brushes, and I love this idea! It ‘brushes’ lashed to the maximum and evenly coats all the lashes to give instant volume through the use of an amazing wand fitted with small wraparound spheres and straight bristles. 3 active lashmorphing ingredients help to create an immediate thickening effect and the use of carnauba and bees waxes and jojoba ester, this mascara is not just ‘worked’, it stretches and makes sure each lash is coated, right to the ends of the finest lashes.
As soon as I popped this mascara onto my lashes, I just knew this was my new favourite mascara. I love the plastic brush that is very soft and flexible, as it isn’t overly large or too small, but a perfect mid point size. The formula is also gorgeous, not too dry, not too wet, and gave the right amount of volume that I love (A LOT!). After one coat I was totally amazed, I haven’t tried out a mascara this good, or had such amazing first impressions in forever! IT added a lot of volume, certainly a lot of length and made my lashes very black, as they’re quite fair!
The packaging is sleek and slightly curved and I love the smooth and shiny chrome tube with a ringed with a gorgeous pop of colour. The casing is practical and when you twist the lid back on there is a lovely, satisfying click. Not only is it satisfying but it ensures it wont undo in your makeup bag and wreak havoc!
This mascara retails for £9.99 but is still on offer I believe in Superdrug for just £7.99
Have any of you tried out this new amazing mascara, what did you think? What is your favourite High Street/Drugstore mascara?
