So you may, or may not, know that it was my 21st Birthday on Sunday (I got way over excited on Twitter/Instagram/Facebook) and I was super spoilt by all of my friends and family! Because I moved out of my Brighton student house on Saturday, I decided to start my birthday weekend on Friday, and celebrate then with my friends. I was super spoilt by all of my friends, with tonnes of incredible surprises. First of all my housemates decorated the kitchen with banners, balloons, a Hello Kitty tablecloth for the table, red cups and my favourite Tiger straws whilst I was out, and surprised me when I came back! They also made me a gorgeous cake and some jelly shots! My housemates clubbed together and bought me a pair of my birthstone Pandora earrings, which are so lovely and match my Pandora ring, yay! The surprises didn’t stop there either! My friends and housemates (around 20ish people apparently!!) clubbed together and hired a stripper for the evening…you can only imagine how hilarious that was, and definitely made the night one to remember! Two of my housemates who I’m living with next year also bought me two stunning MAC eyeshadows in Woodwinked and Mulch, very sweet. I love getting MAC shadows as presents, and my palette is a bit like a charm bracelet and there is a meaning behind each one and when I got it! Another housemate bought me an amazing jar and filled it with things I love, which was really thoughtful and I love things like that!
Saturday I recovered a little, packed up my room and then my dad came to pick me up! This meant I could wake up Sunday morning on my birthday, at home with my family. Sunday morning I woke up and opened my presents and cards in bed with my parents and sisters and I was super spoilt by all of my family! As we were going out for a birthday dinner in the evening, we decided to go out for a birthday breakfast at my favourite place Fego’s! I had a delicious all American Stack, including pancakes, sausages, bacon, sautéed potatoes and maple syrup, all washed down with a glass of bucks fizz! We didn’t really do much during the day, wandered about the shops, had some champagne in the garden for lunch and by then it was dinner time! We headed to a really lovely restaurant at The Royal Berkshire hotel called Fork and it was delicious. We had some cocktails outside on the terrace, a cosmo for myself and my sister, and moijitos for the parents, and then we went on in for dinner! The menu was so yummy and I was SO full after! I had a steak with applewood shavings and garlic on a ciabatta to start, followed by a yummy burger (I am a burger fiend/connoisseur), and then for pudding I had a yummy mango cheesecake and sorbet concoction!
All in all it was the best birthday ever, and I really, really, really can’t thank my friends and family enough for making the weekend so fun and special!
