Don’t Retouch Me, Instablur Me

Cosmetics from The Body Shop are a little foreign to me, however the latest offering of the All-In-One 5-Action Perfector Instablur* has been a more than pleasant experience. Available in just one universal shade, this 5 action perfect blurs skin imperfections in an instant. A unique formula made of mattifying spherical powders with smart-filling properties and moisturising Vitamin E, makes it ideal to use alone or as the perfect, long-lasting base.

The new All-in-One Instablur (RRP: £14) blurs skin imperfections to help achieve flawless, photo-perfect looking skin in a flash. This five action perfector includes 12-hour shine control, pore smoothing and blemish hiding, to give you the confidence to share the ‘real you’ without the use of filters or re-touching. Research unveiled today shows that the average British woman will spend a whole month of her life  – or 753 hours – taking, deleting, retaking, applying filters and retouching the perfect Selfies, which is just crazy if you ask me!

As part of The Body Shop Re-Touch Free campaign, six store consultants, aged between 18-64 years, put this new product to the test and took part in a re-touch free photo shoot in February 2014. All six dynamic looks were created by The Body Shop make-up experts using the new All-in-One Instablur.

Personally I hate my skin without a base, but it’s okay enough after a little bit or retouching here and there. A primer is essential to me, as I have an extremely oily t-zone and makeup sliding down your face an hour or so after application is less than ideal. I love the texture of the Instablur, and although I’m sure it would look gorgeous on people just alone, I prefer to add a light layer of foundation after. I find the Instablur really smoothes over fine lines, significantly reduces the appearance of pores, and the immediate mattifying effect means applying foundation afterwards is just dreamy! Texture wise, it is just so gorgeous, slightly similar to Benefit’s Porefessional, but a little more mattifying, and just the perfect base!

I’ve been really loving this product, it’s even over taken my love for The Body Shop’s Tea Tree Pore Minimiser, which is beautiful too!

Have any of you tried The Body Shop’s Instablur? What is your favourite primer?
