On Thursday evening I was invited to a lovely event at the Brighton Trevor Sorbie Salon, with a few of my favourite Brighton blogger girlies! It was a lovely evening learning about hair colour trends, and styles, whilst chatting to the girls over a few glasses of bubbly! The technical team at Trevor Sorbie is an incredible team, with many years of experience and awards behind them all, so I knew the evening was going to be interesting!

Seeing as next month it will be the Brighton Trevor Sorbies 10th birthday and the 50th birthday of the Trevor Sorbie brand, we were introduced to a fab offer that Trevor Sorbie are running across all of their stylists in the salon, a £25 root touch up and blow dry, which is an incredible deal!
As usual Trevor Sorbie had some stunning models on hand to demonstrate looks, with examples of balayage and how to achieve an on trend, volumised ponytail. Dawn was the model demonstrating the ponytail look with gorgeous on trend, darker hair. Whilst typically dark hair is an autumn/winter thing, switching it up and going darker for summer could make your hair more on trend this summer. Talking of on trend hair colour, we were also told that copper tones and red shades will be on trend this summer as well.

Hair style wise, plaits/braids are still going to be big and look amazing on second day hair, and are a perfect style for festivals! Ponytails and deep partings are also looking to be popular trends. Anna Chapman, Art Director, was sporting both a deep part and a ponytail and she looked very chic indeed! She recommended that for a deep part you start the parting from the arch of the eyebrow. Anna also worked at Paris Fashion Week, so had many on trend tips! Lauren was a model for a lovely halo braid, and it looked amazing on her super long hair!
Anna created this gorgeous ponytail by backcombing sections from the crown, and then also when secured into a ponytail, backcombing the roots of the ponytail itself. Simple, but looks incredible!
It was so lovely to catch up with all the girls, the Trevor Sorbie team, and to learn about up and coming hair colour trends, and styles. My hair always needs some inspiration, it’s a bit lack lustre at the moment!
