I’m like every other 20 year old make-up addict out there when it comes to packing light for a weekend away. And being bad at packing light doesn’t just stop at packing clothes, it also covers make-up. My Paris with the girls trip is only four days long, but I still managed to pack an almost obscene amount of makeup and it’s probably fair to say that my makeup, hair products and skincare bits probably took up an equal amount of space alongside my clothes.I thought I would share with you all how to (not) pack light, make-up wise, for Paris:
My trusty Olay moisturiser and my The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser were amongst my first few choices, closely followed by my Benefit Hello Flawless Foundation, Benefit Fake-Up Concealer, my Collection concealer and my shine proof Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder. My MUA bronzer and Sleek Rose Gold Blush also made the cut.
Eyes wise, I now have my gorgeous MAC palette, complete with just 2 MAC shadows; Naked Lunch and Satin Taupe, as well as 4 sneaky Benefit shadows, which combined cover any eye shadow situation. My Benefit They’re Real mascara and my Maybelline The falsies mascara also made their way into my make-up bag , along with my two favourite Collection liquid liners to complete the eyes!
Now, lips. I’m not a massive lip fan, as I always say, but that’s not what my lipstick/gloss collection says. My trusty Rimmel Moisture Renew Lippy in Vintage Pink automatically hopped into my weekend make-up bag, as did my Revlon Lip Butter in Lollipop, with an accompanying Revlon Lipgloss in 235 Pink Pop.
And lastly, the other bits necessary to produce a Paris worthy face? My Real Techniques blush, contour and buffing brushes, as well as a selection of eye brushes for the shadows. And some nifty Maybelline Baby Lips.
And that pretty much sums up my non-light make-up bag for a 4 day adventure in Paris with the girls! Hopefully by this time I will be sipping a hot chocolate in a cute café along a cobbled Parisian street, overlooking the Louvre or the Eiffel Tower.
