After my love affair with the gorgeous REN Rosa Centifolia No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm (review here) I’ve been keeping up to date with further REN releases. And just my luck a new range has been released, the Vita Mineral range aims to be an ultra-hydrating and intensely nourishing range in the form of daily essentials. Perfect for the cold winter months. Typically I have fairly oily/combination skin, but during the winter months my skin can get very, very dry as well. The Vita Mineral Emollient Rescue Cream sounded just the ticket for me as I also suffer from bad eczema and emollient creams work very well for me.
The Vita Mineral Emollient Rescue Cream is an ultra-rich emollient cream, formulated to provide instant relief for moderate to intense dryness, dehydration, skin roughness and sensitivity, while offering protection against environmental stress and aggression (UV, cold, wind, dryness and pollution) . it aims to replenish, nourish, sooth and calm skin.
I found that the best way to apply this was to warm a small amount in the palm of my hands and then gently massage onto the skin until fully absorbed. This cream has quickly become my saviour for dry, chapped skin and also my eczema. Its really thick formulation means it is perfect for slathering on before bed and then applying throughout the day when necessary. I found this was especially perfect to pack onto and around my nose when I was a little sniffly as it reduced redness, soreness and any dryness.
Overall I have loved using this hard working rescue cream and a little definitely goes a long way! Although this retails for £19 for a 50ml tube, only a little is needed and it really is a miracle worker!
