This year I’ve had the most perfect and fun Halloween to date! I had a lovely pre-halloween day with my housemates, where we carved pumpkins and made pumpkin soup with a left over pumpkin. I also went out once for Halloween as a zombie Minnie Mouse (outfit repeating of last year -oops) and then also went to a house party where I dressed up as a spider..
I’d actually never carved a pumpkin before, so I had a lot of fun and went for a pretty typical, classic pumpkin. Isn’t our little pumpkin family cute?
I had bought two pumpkins but only carved one. With the other, myself and Chloe decided to make soup! We did a little google and came across a simple recipe; we just fried some onions, then chunks of pumpkin for about 10 minutes, added vegetable stock, some cream (which we had none of so we used butter and milk) seasoned and then blitzed with a hand blender and voila!
I dressed up twice for Halloween, as a zombie Minnie Mouse and as a spider. The Minnie Mouse costume was simply a Minnie Mouse dress and ears, with some blood all over me. My spider outfit was a little more fun. I stuffed tights with newspaper, strung them together and then looped some string over my wrists to hold them up!
I also got some great spider fairy lights from poundland, some cheap cobwebs and spiders and just sprinkled them all over me and stuck spiders to my body with eyelash glue. I also bought some cheap spider tights from poundland and some spider head boppers from Asda. In the end my outfit only cost me around £10!
I had such a fun Halloween this year, and I hope you’ve all enjoyed some of these photos, I’m so lucky to be living with such a great group of people this year.
Did you do anything fun this Halloween, what did you dress up as?
