We’re all on that forever long mission to find THE perfect lipstick and a few years ago mine became complete. On a whim I was looking at the Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipsticks and within a few seconds and swatches I had sniffed out the shade 180 Vintage Pink and had fallen in love. It wasn’t until I’d neglected it at home for a few weeks before I tried it out and since then it’s been forever repurchased and recently repackaged. I was recently in my local Superdrug and noticed that my beloved lipstick had been repackaged into a much sleeker, shinier and fun tube – I’ve always been a sucker for the purple packaging so I thought that this review was long overdue and I’d share my most worn lipstick!
The shade 180 Vintage Pink is one of the most perfect everyday lipsticks I own. That and MAC’s Creme Cup. I find it lifts most of the make-up looks I create and is perfect for day and night and goes with a heavy or subtle eye look. Although I do like to wear this all year round, I do find it gets more wear throughout the autumn and winter months as it is more berry toned.
The colour is a gorgeous almost lavender toned mauve in some lights, that is also almost a dusky pink. It is definitely a very cool toned lipstick and I find it really brings out the blue in my eyes. The finish is semi matte but still creamy with a hint of shine.
I absolutely love the formula of the moisture renew lipsticks as they’re thick, creamy pigmented, long lasting and hydrating and they have some gorgeous shades too!
Priced at £6.49 a pop these moisture renew lipsticks by Rimmel will always remain a firm favourite. Have any of your tried the moisture renew lipsticks, what’s your favourite shade?
