Every year I say I’ll have a festival filled summer, but when it comes down to it and I realise I don’t really have the funds, it never actually happens. A group of my friends just got back from Wilderness Festival and hearing their stories and seeing the cute floral headbands they had made, gave me some serious festival blues! I thought to cure this, what better way than to plan a festival outfit for a festival I will not be going to. Oh I am not very clever. I do love putting outfits together though, so here we go!
A key piece of festival fashion are a pair of perfectly comfortable shorts! This pair of light wash denim shorts from River Island are super comfy, easy to wear and are not the sort of shorts where half your bum is hanging out, that look is not flattering on ANYONE. I own this pair of shorts and I removed the ‘kiss’ belt and swapped it for a thick black/brown one from Primark and they look fab!
The second key piece to a festival outfit is some trusty footwear! For footwear I definitely recommend a pair of sturdy wellies that will protect you from rain and to stop your tootsies from getting trampled on! These cute Ruby Harry Hall wellies or Tottie Floral wellies from equestrian clearance will keep you well protected and will last for future festivals too, as well as coming in handy on many other occasions.
I love comfy, rolled up sleeves tees and Takk Clothing do some really awesome tops, perfect for festivals. In particular I really love this Spray On Crop Tee in Super Rose.
Accessories wise, I think this Pink Gold Chunky Chain necklace from New Look would look great! Add some long socks, sunglasses, a flower headband, some glitter and you’re good to go!
