I attended an amazing Benefit event a few weeks ago to celebrate the launch of the new Benefit Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer*! You can find my post about the event here, and at the event we were very kindly given a primer, ahead of the launch date, to take away with us to try.
Benefit are quickly becoming one of my most favourite brands, I adore the packaging and products, and I love the fun vibe. I really love The Porefessional Primer as it reduces pores, as well as providing a gorgeous silky smooth base for foundation. The Stay Flawless Primer has a slightly different concept behind it, as it aims to act like a magnet to lock in your foundation, and aims to provide a perfect base that allows your foundation to stick to your face for 15 flawless hours.
This primer comes in stick form, which is something I haven’t seen before from a primer, and works best by directly applying onto skin, and then immediately applying foundation. Blending together and then allowing to sink in and set a little before applying some powder. The primer itself in the stick has a slightly fleshy colour to it, however it applies invisibly.
As always, this primer is packaged beautifully, and I love how the Stay Flawless Primer and the Hello Flawless Foundation have similar packaging. I adore the fresh, clean look to the packaging itself, and the little stick that the primer comes in is a perfect travel-friendly and compact size! I adore the polka dots, they’re so fun!
Now what did I think of this primer? I feel like there was a lot of hype surrounding this primer, and over the past couple of weeks I have been trying it out with a few different foundations, BB creams and concealers. My overall opinion is that for me, when I look for a primer I ultimately look for a pore minimising primer as that is my largest concern. In that aspect, this primer does not reduce pores, but then again is it not advertised as a reducing pore size primer. I think that this primer would ultimately work best on normal-dry skin types. I find it doesn’t really prolong the wear of foundation on my combination-oily skin, and I much much prefer The Porefessional! I have definitely enjoyed trying this primer out, and hopefully during winter this will be just the ticket for me! Just in this humidity it isn’t really the primer for me!
You can buy the Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer for £24.50 15.5g.
Have any of you tried this primer out, what did you think? What is your favourite primer?
