Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation

I attended an amazing Benefit event a few weeks ago to celebrate the launch of the new Benefit Stay Flawless 15 Hour Primer*! You can find my post about the event here, and at the event we were very kindly given a primer, ahead of the launch date, to take away with us to try and as well as the primer, we were very kindly given the Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Foundation*.

I’m currently dotting from foundation to foundation, depending on the weather and how my skin is and this foundation has been a welcome addition to my collection! This Foundation claims to be a brightening, oil-free foundation as well as containing SPF 25. This foundation sounded like exactly what I was after for the summer, light, luminous, an SPF and a light-medium coverage. This foundation helps to boost cellular respiration for a ‘plumping’ effect and contains vitamin C and E derivatives known to prevent signs of aging. I was matched to the shade ‘Believe in me Ivory’, a yellow toned shade.

As always I adore Benefit packaging and this foundation comes in a beautiful frosted plastic bottle with a perfect white pump. I find I need 1-2 pumps of this foundation depending on how my skin is and I find it builds up to a decent medium coverage, although more on the lighter side. This foundation has a slightly more thin consistency than my other foundations, but I have been really enjoying using it and it has quickly become a perfect day to day foundation.

I had read a few reviews that said this wasn’t suitable for oily skin, I have oily-combination skin and I have found with the right moisturiser, primer and setting powder this foundation provides a gorgeous flawless, natural complexion. I have been enjoying using my The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser or my The Body Shop Seaweed Mattifying Day Cream, underneath this foundation. I have then been using the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder for setting powder, and these have all worked wonderfully together. I’ve found this applies lovely by just using your fingers or with a Real Techniques Stippling brush.

Overall although I may not have originally gravitated towards this foundation based on reviews, I am really glad I had had the opportunity to try this foundation out as I really love it, and I can see myself using this a LOT this summer!

This foundation retails for £25.50 for 30ml.

Have any of you tried this foundation, how did you find it? Whats your favourite light-medium coverage foundation?
