First up, I know I don’t have to apologise for not posting as regularly as usual, but I just want to quickly say I’ve been finding it super hard/stressful balancing my uni work, revision, having fun in the sun and blogging lately, so that’s why things are a bit all over the place at the moment! Deadlines should be over in a week or so, and then I’m finished with exams in a month, so don’t fret, I should be back to my normal blogging self very soon. I just wanted to say thanks for sticking around with me, and I hope you’re all enjoying this sun!
When I attended the Brighton Blogger Meet Up a few Saturdays ago, on the 27th April (post will be up very soon, I promise!), we had a great Lush demo, where some lovely ladies from Lush came and showed us how they make their Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask*, and we were all given a generous 75g tub to take away! It was really fun to watch it being made from scratch, and to learn about each and every one of the ingredients that goes into the mask.
Personally, I love face masks, especially fresh ones, but often I get too lazy and don’t have enough time in the evening so I skip them out. However seeing as I have this fresh mask I thought, time to make a change eh! This face mask is super simple, you keep it in the fridge and when you want to use it, you just apply a generous layer to the face and leave on for 5-10 minutes. It dries like a clay mask, and when washed off with warm water, your skin will be left lovely and soft! It also smells so divine, really fresh and relaxing.
This Face Mask is perfect for when you feel one of those pesky, beneath the surface, potential volcano alert, spots brewing, and perfect for if your skin is a bit all over the shop, like mine currently is! This mask features Calamine powder, Talc, Irish Moss, Fresh Blueberries, Glycerine, Almond Oil, Rose Oil as well as a few other ingredients. This face mask aims to calm and cleanse the skin, as blueberries are rich in beneficial anti-oxidants, and the chamomile and Irish moss provide a gentle cleansing action.
I tried this face mask out after I got home from the meet up, and also a few nights ago when i had some of the girls over, and they really enjoyed it too. I definitely noticed that it made my skin super soft after use, and after applying a toner and a moisturiser the next morning my skin was super soft, and my dry patches on my cheeks were looking much better!
I hope you all enjoy this beautiful photo of me. Yes that is one of the fresh blueberries on my forehead, great mashing skills Lilla!
I really love using this mask, and I’ve gotten around 4 uses out of it so far and I’ve probably got around 3/4 of the tub left! I definitely will be repurchasing this! This Fresh Face Mask should be available from a Lush near you, and retails for £5.95 for a 75g pot
Have any of you tried this mask or Lush masks, what did you think? And what is your favourite mask to use?
