I love this sun. It put’s me in such an amazing mood, and living in Brighton and near the beach makes it all a bit more perfect! When it’s nice weather I love to get my hair out (I know that sounds weird, but normally it lives tied up in a bun or ponytail) and since using this John Frieda Luxurious Volume range I love to do just that.
I love John Frieda products, so when I was offered the chance to try out some products from their new Luxurious Volume range, I couldn’t resist! I tried out the Luxurious Volume Shampoo and Conditioner*, Blow Dry Lotion* and Dry Shampoo*. I wanted to give these natural-looking volume products a decent trial, so I’ve been using them when I wash my hair over the past few weeks. Just a little background, I wash my hair around 2-3 times a week and typically have quite flat hair, so this was a fab opportunity!
First of all, I adore the colour of this range. I know. But simple things please simple minds and if I like the packaging and all that, it makes me a bit happier. Ok. Moving on from the colour of the products, the shampoo and conditioner come in simple squeezy tubes, and the dry shampoo in a quite snazzy looking can and the lotion is a spray bottle. Simple but effective.
I really enjoyed using the shampoo and conditioner as a little went a long way and the products made my hair feel lightweight but I definitely noticed a little more oomph to my hair. Not groundbreaking backcombesque volume, but a little extra something. I found that after using the shampoo and conditioner if I used the root boosting blow dry lotion, I really had some extra extra oomph! I really recommend using both together for some lovely volumised hair. And do you know what gave my hair that extra, extra, extra oomph? Spritzing some of the dry shampoo through my hair! I’m a bit of a dry shampoo addict, and have probably tried the large majority of dry shampoos available in Boots/Superdrug, but this, this I really loved!
Overall I really enjoyed trying these out, and I will be using them until they run out and maybe even repurchasing! Although I do currently have about 4 different shampoo/conditioner combos in my shower, so I might not exactly need to repurchase!
The shampoo, conditioner dry shampoo and blow dry lotion typically retail for around £5.89 each and there is currently an offer in Boots where you can get 2 John Frieda products for £8.
Have any of you tried this range, or any of the John Frieda products, what did you think and what’s your favourite?
