Revlon Nearly Naked Foundation : Review

I recently reviewed the Revlon Colorstay Foundation (post here) and as it very medium-full coverage, i’ve been on the market for a more everyday, lightweight foundation, enter the Revlon  Nearly Naked Foundation. I’ve seen reviews of this foundation doing its round on Blogs and YouTube, so i thought it was time for me to see what all the hype was about! I bought this foundation when it was on offer for just £6.99, with its full price being £8.99 – still decent for a foundation. However there are still other offers running, so check out your Boots/Superdrug.

I chose the shade 130 Shell, as the more lighter shades were a little too pink-toned for me, I could’ve gone for vanilla, but i feel shell is more appropriate for my spring/summer skin and is easy to blend in. The foundation comes in a 20ml rectangular glass bottle with a white lid, inevitably this is Revlon’s Answer to the Urban Decay’s Naked Skin Foundation and is more affordable and easier to find. The foundation has an SPF 20 which makes it even more attractive as an everyday foundation, which essentially this is. Again, as with most Revlon (all?) foundations it does not have a pump, luckily i have gotten used to this, but some may find it annoying, however the foundation itself is great, so it is only a minor problem to overlook.

The website says:

‘Revlon’s breakthrough nearly naked makeup balances skin and makeup so they work in perfect harmony. With buildable coverage and seamless blending, you are sure to cover flaws and perfect your skin’s tone and texture. No heavy cakey or greasy mess.

Available in 16 true to tone shades.’

I completely agree with this statement, and i’ve been wearing this everyday to uni and i love it, it lasts around the 8 hour mark, yet still keeps me looking awake and refreshed. It also looks as though i am not wearing a foundation yet have perfect skin (with a dab of concealer here and there!). I also find it isn’t terribly ‘dewy’ when set with powder, which makes me happy as i am a bit fed up of dewy skin, so it is perfect for me!

This is a light-medium coverage, light enough to cover imperfections yet does not look or feel like anything is there, and is buildable so that a medium coverage can be achieved. – Perfect!

Overall i can’t rave about this enough and this is currently my everyday foundation, with my Revlon Colorstay being my nightout foundation, a perfect duo!

Overall i give this 5 Sophiehearts and i can see myself using this all spring and summer, it is great!
