I love natural products, and this Oily Skin Toner* by Purely Natural is just that. I received an 100ml toner from the Cambridge based all-natural, vegan brand and i was so excited to try it. I love how the company try to source all products from within the UK and are UK based, i think they’re a really lovely brand and i love their ideas.
The website was really easy to navigate and had a handy page about discovering your skin type and then products that would help to control your skin type. Also included in my package was a little card with top tips for blemishes and oily skin; a really lovely and interesting touch!
The tips were:
– Eat a low GL/GI diet. High GL/GI meals mess with your messy hormones.
– Exercise 3 times a week: reduces stress and speeds up your metabolism.
– Be sure to use a moisturiser that will not clog up your pores.
– Wash with cool or warm water. Hot will irritate your skin.
-Remove dairy from your diet: It is full of hormones.
– Cut down on Caffeine; too much= stress=spots
These were really handy tips, although the dairy tip is a personal choice as everyone is different, these were some handy pointers!
The Oily Skin Toner is an 100% natural toner for people with blemish prone skin. Designed to be simple but effective, it is also super-duper as a quick cleanser! It also claims to be full of anti bacterial tea tree oil , perfect for blemish prone skin. It can also be used as a make up remover and it will not clog your pores
It contains Distilled Water, which is water with impurities removed, Tea Tree Oil from the leaves of the melaleuca alternifolia and Rose-Geranium Oil from the flowers, leaves & stalks of the herb.
Now what do i think about this? First of all i love how natural it is, and it makes me feel like i’m doing good for my skin. Secondly i love the spray nozzle as it is easy to spritz onto a cotton pad and to wipe across my face 1-2 times a day, morning and night. I’ve only been using this a week, but for the past week i’ve found it to be reducing redness and reducing my breakouts, which have been pretty terrible the past few weeks. I find it can be a little drying on my cheeks and less oily parts of my face, so i like to just wipe a cotton pad with a few spritz’s of this, across my forehead, down my nose and on my chin and it has really helped to control oil!
This toner costs £5.95 and as it is fresh has a shelf life of 3 months. Postage is only £1.95, which is a great price. I can’t wait to try their oily skin face scrub and maybe some other skincare products!
