Dainty Doll Bargains

I’ve always had some weird thing for gingers, from Ron Weasley to Ginger Spice, to Emma Stone and of course Nicola Roberts. I remember hearing about her launching a make-up line for more fair skin called Dainty Doll, but the prices were quite high and I never got round to looking into it. I was recently on Fragrance Direct and saw lots of Dainty Doll by Nicola Roberts, products were down to just £1.99 and with £1.99 delivery, I just had to! I really wanted to try a blusher, but they were all sold out, so i ordered an eyeshadow in 005 Purple Hills and a lipstick 008 Storm In A Teacup

My order arrived within three days, and i was very eager to have a play around. I really love the packaging, housed in black cardboard cases with the dainty doll picture. The lipstick, comes in a black, fairly heavy metal case, and it clicks shut, just what I like. The colour is not something I would typically go for, but i thought ah well, why not! The colour is a browny/pink nude. And as I am quite fair, it is a lovely nude on me as it doesn’t wash me out or make me look like I have foundation lips! The formulation is lovely and buildable and feels really silky and  has a gorgeous glossy finish.

I chose the shade Purple Hills for the eyeshadow, as the others were a bit too crazy, and I love purples! I find purple looks lovely paired with blue eyes, and I love to use purple liners and shadows to line my lower lashes or added into a smokey eye subtley! This shade is a nice dark purple shade, with shimmer and slight reddy/blue undertones!

Have any of you tried anything from Dainty Doll, what did you think?
