So after my make-up bag was stolen the other night, (luckily only my powder, concealer, brow kit and eyeliner were in there OH and my loved Benefit They’re Real mascara, gr) i felt like i was missing a few everyday essentials. So i headed out to town and went to Superdrug and Boots, and popped into the Body Shop to redeem my Joy card! Also i apologise about the photo’s, i’m currently borrowing my dad’s camera whilst i’m still at home, but i’m not used to it so i couldn’t take any amazing photos!
I had never heard of The Body Shop’s Joy card, but in my January 2013 issue of Glamour, retailing for £1.50, was a red card that was either loaded with £3, £15 or £100! Either way i was guaranteed a minimum of £3! I went into The Body Shop obviously hoping i had the £100 card, but accepting that i probably had one with £3, and i did, which was good for me! I picked up their 250ml Cucumber Freshening Water Toner which was on sale for £2! I can’t find it online but i guess it originally retailed for about £4-5. I also picked up the 60ml Vanilla Bath and Shower Gel for £1, the size is perfect for travelling, and i love vanilla scents! Two lovely items for free, thanks Glamour!
Next up i headed to Superdrug as i needed a new mascara, and i remembered how much i loved the L’Oreal Volume Million Lashes Mascara, so picked that up in the extra black version for £10.99. I also had to get a new Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in 001 Transparent for £3.99, a new Collection Lasting Imperfection Concealer in 2 Light for £4.19 and a new Collection 24 Hour Extreme Felt Tip Liner in black. I can never find the link for the liner online but it retails for £2.99 and this must be my 5th repurchase! Also girls never forget to use student discount in Superdrug, saved me £2.22 !
I was wandering around Boots looking for bits for my upcoming giveaway (i picked up two bits!) and noticed there was a Revlon deal where loads of fab products were on sale for just £5, include mascaras, nail enamel’s and Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains! I decided to pick up the Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara in 001 Blackest Black as it was a great deal, saving me £5.99, better than half price! I am a mascara junky and i cannot wait to try this, look out for a review!
ALSO, Boots currently have the NO.7 vouchers, although it is £5 off skincare and £3 off make-up. Still a fab deal and both vouchers are valid till the 27th January!
Have any of you tried any of these products, what are your essentials in a make-up bag?
Happy New Year!
