Rimmel Apocalips in Celestial

Rimmel have been releasing some great new products in the last few months, a firm favourite being the scandlel eyes kohl liners and Lash Accelerator Endless Mascara (Review Here). Recently added to their ever-growing line were the Apocalips, a line of liquid lipsticks available in 8 gorgeous shades. On a recent trip to Boots i picked up the shade 101 Celestial, a dusty pink with blue undertones, the colour i always gravitate towards, which goes with most make-up looks from bold eyes to subtle eyes.

The earth-shattering lip lacquer from Rimmel London combining the intense colour of lipstick with a lacquer like shine, Apocalips Lip Lacquer is an explosive make-up phenomenon that represents the end of colour as you know it. Packed with pure colour pigments, its lusciously creamy, conditioning formula promises a never-before combination of colour, shine and comfort that last and last. Available in 8 shades, from subtly sexy to spectacular‘ apparently the shade selection has been split into three categories,

with selected shades being created for fair skin, others for olive and some for deeper tones, however i don’t know which colours are associated with each category.

I love the packaging of the product, a sleep tube with a . the formula contains the pigmentation of a lipstick but remains the form of a gloss and the glossiness of a gloss. (Can i say gloss anymore?) without feeling sticky or sliding off. The product feels soft and moisturising on the lips and wear time is around the 2 hour mark, after this point the gloss fades but there is a stain and it looks lovely still, which remains for around the 3-4 hour mark.

I love the fun name, and the colours are perfect for night-time, day-time and even the more brighter shades seem appealing to me, whereas i normally stick to my nudeypinks and easy to wear neutral colours! The easiness and simplicity of these lip products has seriously made me consider picking up Apocaliptic, a bright bright pink! I’ve read reviews of people comparing these to YSL Glossy Stains and these are available at a fraction of the price!

Retailing for £5.99 and on offer for 3for2 across Rimmel products in Boots, this lip product is a steal and i want all the colours, even the more daring bright ones! Overall i give this 5 sophiehearts and i really can’t find a fault with it!
