Whilst i was in town the other day i popped into Boots (bad idea) and noticed a few Revlon products, such as nail enamels, just bitten kissable balm stains and some mascaras were on offer for £5 each! i decided to pick up the Revlon Photoready 3D Volume Mascara as it was on offer for £5 with an RRP of £10.99, so that’s a grand saving of £5.99! I am a bit of a mascara junkie and mascara is definitely one of my favourite products to try out, as i love big, dramatic black lashes!
It came in two shades, Blackest Black and Blackened brown. I opted for the Blackest Black option! It claims to achieve ‘glamorous, big volume lashes from every angle with Revlon 3D Volume Mascara. With two coats lashes look 100% more magnified, multiplied, amplified. Lash finding brush with rounded tip easily reaches every single lash for maximum dimension.’
The rounded tip is similar to the Benefit They’re Real, but less prominent and not as effective, however it is lovely to see this on a hight-street/drugstore mascara, and it is helpful at grabbing the inner lashes and the outer corner lashes. I’m probably being a bit harsh on this brush as i am comparing it to the Benefit They’re Real, which is incredible but pricey. Don’t get me wrong, this brush is good, i find it works beautifully on my lower lashes, but i do prefer the They’re Real.
I like the packaging, sturdy, matte black and i like the shiny silver lid. The mascara itself provides lovely definition, curl and of course volume. I just find this mascara lacks a little in lengthening but then again that is not what it is advertised as doing as it is primarily a 3d volume mascara!
I have enjoyed using this mascara and for £5 i think this is a fab offer, and one not to miss!
Have any of you tried this mascara or any mascaras by Revlon, what did you think about them?
