Korres Discovery Set : Review

When i ordered the Korres Discovery Set off of the Pop up shop on whatsinmyhandbag i received a full size Wild Rose lip butter (review here). Within this set i received a 5ml Primrose Eyecream, a 10ml Wild Rose 24hour Moisturiser and a 14ml Milk Proteins 3 in 1 Cleansing, Toning and Eye Make up Removing Emulsion. At the time, i paid just £5 for this set of 3 deluxe samples and a full size Wild Rose Lip Butter, which itself retails for £7, amazing. I got this set about 3 weeks ago, so i have been trialling these products for a good amount of time.

The product out of the 3 samples that i loved the most, definitely has to be the Wild Rose 24 hour Moisturiser with SPF 6. After i tried the Benefit Total Moisture Cream, and discovered a nice thick, luxurious night cream, i was on the hunt for another thick night cream. The Wild Rose 24 hour moisturiser is just that.’Wild Rose oil is a natural source of vitamin C, which demonstrates significant repairing activity to fine lines and skin colour disorders, while adding brightness and radiance to the skin.’ I find it is best when applied at night, as it has a decent 8 hours of moisturising time during the night and after i have used my cleanse and polish in the morning and applied my day moisturiser, my skin is left unbelievably soft. My face in the morning at the moment is so soft after using this moisturiser. As the name suggests, it has a rose scent, but nothing overpowering, literally just the tiniest hint of the scent, which i think is perfect and quite relaxing at night time! This retails for £19 for 40ml, so this 10ml size is worth £4.75!

I love to apply the Evening Primrose Eyecream with SPF 6 after the Wild Rose Moisturiser, and with most eye creams, a little goes a long way, so this tube will last me a fair while! This is ‘A velvety cream that shields and brightens up the eye area. Evening primrose, in combination with vitamin C, stimulates collagen synthesis, thus plumping fine lines. The synergistic action of vitamin K1 and Ruscus promotes blood microcirculation illuminating the under-eye area and gradually erasing dark circles. The natural sunscreen Zinc oxide prevents premature skin ageing, while diffusing a light whitening concealer-like effect’. I find it moisturises perfectly and keeps my under eye area looking perfect and fresh. On Feelunique this retails for £24 for 15ml, so this 5ml size is worth £8

Last in the trio is the Milk Proteins 3 in 1 Cleansing, Toning and Eye Make-Up Removing Emulsion, bit lengthy eh? This ‘3 in 1 cleansing, toning and eye make-up removing emulsion for all skin types is rich in vegetable oils. The Milk Proteins emulsion gently cleanses, tones and moisturises; it removes face and eye make-up, sebum and dirt, allowing the skin to breathe.’ It contains Milk proteins which are rich in lactose and essential aminoacids and offer nourishing properties and form a hydrating layer on the skin by bonding with water molecules. The Organic Eyebright extract soothes and conditions the delicate eye area. When i used this on my eyes in the same way i use my Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish it stung my eyes so bad, so i gave it a few more attempts, but it still stung a bit. Although it did an amazing job of removing even my stubborn eye make-up in one sweep, easier than my cleanse and polish possibly. Just a big shame it stung my eyes! It worked lovely on the face though and followed up with the moisturiser and eye-cream this was a lovely first step in the trio of gorgeous samples. The 200ml retals for £15, so this 14 ml retails for just under £2.

Overall i really loved trying out Korres, and i love the Greek natural brand and in particular the 24 hour moisturiser and wild rose lip butter, i will definitely be trying out more Korres!

Have any of you tried Korres, what did you think? What is your favourite natural brand?
