Lately i feel like my hair hasn’t been at 100%, probably due to me dying my hair and this dull, dreary winter weather! Normally my hair is silky and shiny, but sometimes the ends just need a little TLC and i am naughty with heat appliances (although i have cut down my straightener usage) so split ends become noticeable quickly. Enter the Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends Split End Protection Intensive Mask. This 200 ml tub retails for between £ 3-4. and can be easily found in Boots, Superdrug and many supermarkets. In Superdrug at the moment it can be found for better than half price for an amazing price of £1.95!
I’ve been wanting a nice intensive mask, and whilst in Boots the other day i picked up the Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends Split End Protection Intensive Mask for dry/damaged hair. I have in the past tried out the shampoo/conditioner from this range and i really enjoyed using those and the gorgeous scent, as the beautiful ends range feature red raspberry and silk extracts! I love the scent of raspberry, so this mask was right up my alley. Although i found this was a very similar formula to the conditioner in the range, just marginally thicker, whether this is a bad thing, probably not, just something i picked up on.
Just a note, the tub doesn’t state how much of the product to apply, so i was a little cautious at first as i didn’t want to apply too much and have seriously greasy hair! I managed to use a fairly decent amount though and greasiness didn’t happen, so just see how it goes and with longer hair use a bit more. After shampooing i simply massaged this into my hair from root to tip, giving extra attention to the tips, and then left in my hair for 5 minutes and rinsed out. Afterwards my hair was so easy to comb, so so so soft and frizz free and my split ends were in fact reduced. Impressive! I understand this doesn’t offer an actual long-term solution to split ends, but it covers them up perfectly for a short period of time and made my hair feel nourished and pampered and it wasn’t weighed down at all.
I love using this now as part of my weekly routine on a night at the weekend as it is a lovely pamper and makes me feel ready for the week ahead!
Have any of you tried this hair mask? What is your favourite hair mask?
(again sorry about the quality of the photos!!)
