E.L.F Nail Polishes: Review

I have just realised, i have quite a few nail posts up and coming at the moment, sorry! However, i am off to Greece tomorrow morning for a 6 day Geography Fieldwork trip, so in the next week or so my blog will be pretty empty. I will be back next Saturday (the 10th November) and i will have lots of blog posts to share, especially ones about my adventures in Greece. If you also have any requests for posts you would like to see, please leave a comment below!

Recently i won an e.l.f competition, over on their blog. On Friday’s they like to run a competition called Friday Favourites, where they giveaway one of their favourite e.l.f products a week and the winner is announced on Monday.  I won the Halloween Nails Special and i received three nail polishes, Black, Light Red and a Matte Finisher. I was really excited to try these nail polishes out, as i hadn’t tried any e.l.f polishes before and these certainly didn’t let me down. Retailing for just £2.50 each, these are a bargain and i found they only needed two coats and lasted more than 3 days before chipping (with no top coat).

I had never tried a matte top coat before, so i was very interested by the concept, it definitely mattified any polish i painted it in top of and it dried fairly quickly too. It was fun to use, but i do think i love a shiny, glossy nail. This is fun to create looks, such as the Halloween one though!

I really like the shape of the bottles and they contain 10ml of product, their rectangular/square shape means they are easy to store and i think they look quite expensive.

I really enjoyed using these, i love the Light Red shade! Thanks E.L.F for my prize, and make sure you all check out the e.l.f site and the blog, as the blog regularly features deals that are running and competitions!

Have any of you tried an e.l.f nail polish?
