Recently i won a giveaway over on TheSundaygirl’s blog, a firm favourite of mine, and i won a Witch BB cream. Now, for me, i find that Western BB creams tend to be glorified tinted moisturisers etc, so i was quite excited to try this out, after Sundaygirl gave it such a good review (Review here). Just to warn, sorry about the photos, its hard to get good light here!
Witch reminds me of when i was 13 and i used all their spot-creams etc, so its nice to see they have introduced products targeted at a slightly older market, including an affordable primer too.
The Witch anti-blemish BB cream contains witch hazel extract, and is a multi-action formula that moisturises, conceals and helps skin clear, whilst protecting skin with an added SPF 15. Whilst being fragrance free and oil free, this sounds like a winner! It claims that ‘Witch’s beauty balm is ideal for blemish prone skin, it evens out skin tone, smoothes and hydrates whilst providing an immediate visible improvement in the appearance of your skin. SPF 15 protects the skin whilst the natural witch hazel helps keep it clear, leaving you looking flawless, radiant and natural’.
It is recommended that you apply evenly all over the face with fingertips, sponge or brush and that the BB cream can be used in place of your normal moisturiser and/or foundation. I like to apply this like a moisturiser and then go over it with my Real techniques Stippling brush, just to make sure it extra buffed into my skin and nicely blended.
The BB cream itself is quite thick on consitency, but very creamy and smooth. There is currently only one shade option, which is perfect for my skin type, a cross between fair and medium. I really enjoy using this on a daily basis for uni etc, as i find it controls oil well, on my forever oily chin, and it provides a good level of coverage for covering imperfections, blemishes and minimising pores!
A 50ml tube retails for around £6.99 which i think is a bargain price! I really enjoy using this and have used it loads ever since i received it, thanks thesundaygirl! I will definitely be repurchasing this!
Have any of you tried this product or anything good by Witch? Whats your favourite BB cream?
