Revlon Shanghai Collection Goodies

Lately i have been on a bit of a competition win roll, and last week i won a twitter competition, run by RevlonUK to celebrate the final of Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model! All you had to do was be following RevlonUK and retweet a tweet and thats it, you were entered, Twitter competitions are amazing because more than often they’re that simple to enter and some of the prizes are amazing! The prize that was up for grabs with this particular competition were 30 sets of 3 products from the new Shanghai collection, with a total value of £22.97!

The prizes came with a slip of card with a picture of Letitia, the winner of BINTM 2012, saying ‘congratulations on being a re-tweet competition winner!’ which was a cute touch! I won a Revlon Superlustrous Lipstick in 028 Cherry Blossom, a Revlon Top Speed Nail Enamel in 560 Forbidden and a Revlon Colorstay Creme Gel Eyeliner in 001 Black. These were amazing prizes, with a gel eyeliner i have been wanting to try for ages and a lipstick and nail polish in lovely berry shades, perfect for autumn!

First up, the Superlustrous Lipstick in 028 Cherry Blossom, this retails online for £7.49 and is described as ‘Silky smooth colour. With an exclusive blend of moisturisers and vitamins. SPF15′. The SPF is fab, and the lipstick definitely has a silky smooth formula, which feels so soft on the lips. The finish is slightly glossy, and looks so gorgeous! The shade looks like a typical lovely red in the tube, but once applied is a cherry colour, a slightly pinky-red, which is very flattering, and seems to be similar to the Revlon polish ‘Cherries in the Snow’.

Secondly i won a Top Speed Fast Dry Nail Enamel in 560 Forbidden, these retail for £6.49 and are described as ‘cool colour in 60 seconds‘. This isn’t the typical nail colour i would gravitate towards, but is perfect for the autumn/winter seasons and looks quite sophisticated and i think would be fab for Halloween  I have already tried this out and i love the formula, it only needs two coats! However i didn’t notice any exceptionally fast drying!

Last, but certainly not least, is the Color Stay Creme Gel Eyeliner in 001 Black, this retails for £8.99  and claims to give ‘bold, smudge-proof colour‘. I was most excited about this part of the prize, as i have wanted to try this ever since it came out!

I love the packaging of the gel eyeliner, as in the tall handle is part of the brush, which you take out, twist around and pop back in the top and use as a long brush for the gel at the bottom!

I like the concept of the brush and it works very effectively! I haven’t properly tried out the eyeliner yet, but i will do a review when i have tested it properly!

Overall i love my prize from Revlon and thanks for being so generous and giving me the opportunity to try some amazing products!

Have any of you tried anything from the Shanghai collection or won anything nice lately?
