So ever since it hit the blogisphere that Poundland’s around the country were selling decent make-up, and in particular Stila and Revlon products at knock off prices,i have been quite literally hunting down any bargains, and desperately hoping to come across the Stila Tinted Moisturiser everyone has found! Boo. However recently whilst on my manhunt for any bargains, i came across the Stila Angel Light Whitening Powder Foundation Refill, with SPF 26 in the Shade A. I wasn’t fussed this was just a refill, i was more over the moon i had found it. I had found Stila in poundland, although not the tinted moisturiser (i think that’s what it is?)
In my excitement, i accidentally smushed the box, but essentially it came in quite simplistic packaging, a cute pale pink box with delicate looking writing and picture, with a plastic insert and a removable 12g, refill pan!
The colour pay off was great and of a lovely creamy and silky consistency. I can’t wait to play around with this and review it! For £1 this was a steal, on the internet it retails from around £5 upwards. Luckily i managed ot pick up the lightest shade, which i think is a perfect match for me!
Whilst i was in Poundland i also spotted this Collection 2000 XXL Volume Sensation Mascara, again for only £1! I think this was in Poundland as some Collection 2000 products packaging have undergone make-overs and revamps, thus making this old stock. Handy for me though! I love a good volumising mascara, and whilst this boats a big brush, it doesn’t look jabby and obnoxious and i am excited to try this out!
A few days later, i was scouring my local poundland and i came across (finally) Revlon! I picked up this gorgeous Revlon Superlustrous Lipgloss in 170 Coral Reef, with SPF 15. This retails for £6.99 in Superdrug and boots so this was a STEAL.
Next i stumbled across a few Sally Hansen items. I love Sally Hansen Nail Polishes, but have never tried the cosmetic side of things (i didn’t know it existed). First i picked up 2 Sally Hansen Diamond 12hour Lip Treatment’s in Baguette and Engaging. These have an RRP price of £8.95 (£17.90 for 2!!!) but are £2.99 on Fragrance Direct. So getting these for £1 each was still a steal! I’m not the worlds biggest lipgloss fan so i can’t wait to use these!
|L-R: Revlon in ‘Coral Reef’, Sally Hansen in ‘Engaging’ and Sally Hansen in ‘Baguette’|
Lastly from Sally Hansen i also picked up a Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear Nail Polish in the shade ‘Deep Blue Sea’. A gorgeous denim glittery blue. This retails on Amazon for £2.15. They also had a green glitter version of this and a dark green too. This shade reminds me of tinsel, thus will be perfect for the Christmas party season, yay! And as always Sally Hansen polishes have such a fab quality, this should be no exception!
Overall i picked up some lovely items which i am excited to to play around with and see if they were worth that crazy £1 price tag (; I am happy i got some amazing quality lip glosses, as im not exactly a lipgloss person but i find them easier than lipstick, so i am excited to try these out, especially for Freshers!
Have you managed to find any bargains in Poundland recently?
