Mini Benefit Bad Gal Lash and Total Moisture Facial Cream

Whilst mooching about at my freshers fair on Wednesday, me and my friends noticed a stand selling the October Edition of Elle (retailing £3.90) for just £1, with it coming with a mini Benefit 4g Bad Gal Lash Mascara and  8.9g Total Moisture Facial Cream, what a steal! I couldn’t wait to try these out, as since forever i have wanted to try the Bad Gal mascara!

First up the mascara. This mascara was everywhere around year 9 at my secondary school and everyone seemed to own it, apart from me. I was expecting a big brush, and i got a big brush. I managed to not jab myself in the eye with it and i was surprised at the lack of clumpiness that i was expecting. I enjoyed using this, but it gave the same effect as the other mascaras i have been using up lately, and wasn’t as dramatic as i wished for Don’t get me wrong, it is a lovely mascara, it just lacked that wow factor for me.

Ignore my slightly gammy eyes photos, i have lots of those milia? things at the moment. However, as you can see, this mascara did do something, but for me it was not as good enough as other mascaras, especially for this price point! The Bad Gal Mascara, full size 8.5g tube, retails for £16.50 , so the 4g mascara i got is worth around the £8 mark, so all in all a nice little steal, and i was happy i could try this after hearing people rave about it for years!

Now, the Total Moisture Facial Cream. I was a bit apprehensive of this, as i have sensitive skin, so i like to stick to stuff i know

The formula was lovely and rich and thick, but not heavy on the skin, it sank in like a dream and provided a lovely glowym moisturised base for going about and applying my everyday foundation look. I loved the packaging, and it felt very classy and luxurious.

The Total Moisture Facial Cream retails at £26.50 which you 48.2g, so the 8.9g mini is worth around £4.90. I loved this moisturiser, i just don’t think i could justify spending that amount on a moisturiser, maybe one day!

Have you nabbed any decent freebies lately? Have any of you tried these products?
