July Favourites

So July has FLOWN by (like practically all of the months this year!) and as always i have a few products/items that i seem to use all the time and love.

This month lots of VO5 products have been on offer in Superdrug so i thought i would pick up the Nourish Me Truly Shampoo and Conditioner, for £1.69 each it was a perfect deal for a 500ml bottle of this. They Claim to ‘Lavish your damaged or heat styled hair for a divine transformation. Infused with extract of Cashmere Keratin, your hair will feel stronger and have visible radiance. Hair so luxurious, you won’t be able to stop touching it!’ Which is exactly what i have been after as lately i have decided to stop dying my hair to try and let it recover and i have noticed a difference and i don’t need to wash my hair as much also ( but this may be due to my next favourite).

My Second favourite of the month has to be my latest dry shampoo discovery, the VO5 Plump Me Up Dry Shampoo, which i also picked up in Superdrug as it was on offer! I won’t go into in too much detail here as i have done a blog post on Dry Shampoo’s recently.

Thirdly i have the VO5 Miracle Concentrate Elixir With Argan Oil which i picked up a fair while ago and decided to try, and as you can see from the photo i have been using this loads. I have been using this when my hair is damp and it helps it with drying and adds moisture and shine 🙂

Next is the Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover which claims to instantly remove nail polish within 1 second, whilst it doesn’t remove it in 1 second, i’d say 3 seconds and it is gone. Such an amazing simple product; just simply dip your finger in, swirl around and remove! It even removes those pesky glittery nail polishes, although this does take a little longer than 1-3 seconds, perhaps 10 seconds?

From Bourjois also, is the Bourjois Effect Smoky Pencil, and i have the pencil in shade 72 Dark Purple, i have been loving using this, this month when the weather has been warm (we’ve been lucky!) and i don’t feel like wearing any winged liner or much make-up. I use this to line my lower lash line and apply some mascara and i feel fresh and summery.

(L-R): Bourjoise Effect Smoky Pencil in 72 Dark Purple & Collection 2000 Cream Puff Lip Cream in  Cotton Candy

For my lips in the lovely weather that we have had a fair few days of, i have been enjoying using my Collection 2000 (now apparently just called Collection?) Cream Puff Lip Cream in Cotton Candy. It is a perfect lip cream, which drys matte and isn’t terribly drying on the lips. I LOVE the effect is creates, and i believe it is similar to the NYX Soft Matte Lip creams. (Shown in Swatch above)

I have been loving pairing my purple liner and cotton candy lip cream with a glowing tan, and this month i have discovered the St Moriz Tanning Lotion, which i picked up originally from tesco for £4.99, but can be easily found on the internet. I applied this with a tanning mitt and the application was flawless, i wasn’t vaguely orange and there were no patches. I literally did not shut up about this tanning lotion for weeks! The tan stayed and gradually faded and is the most natural, real looking tan i have come across, because of the green tones, this cancels out any orangeyness. There is a slight fake tan smell but this fades with time and for this price and amazingness i will suffer the teeny smell!!

The Last beauty item i have been loving is the Avon SuperShock Max Mascara, which i have done a massive blog post on, so i shall just link that, but i love this mascara.

My last favourite, which isn’t a beauty/make-up item, is my Yankee candle in Vanilla Cupcake, my family all think it has a sickly scent, but i love this, and i always repurchase this. I love Yankee Candles.

Overall July was an amazing month and i hope i discover lots of lovely items in August too 🙂

*SORRY about the lengthy post!
